  1. My KOH Ride & Impressions - from a Jeep, Ranger Rover and Bronco owner

I geek out on tires. There are several really good tires for hitting the trails, while being a daily driver. My Bronco will be my (mostly) daily driver too.
  2. My KOH Ride & Impressions - from a Jeep, Ranger Rover and Bronco owner

I’ve been wheeling for almost 30 years, a lot of it around Moab. Most of that wheeling was done in an 89 Runner with 31” tires and later in a 98 Cherokee with 31” tires. Both with open diffs—no lockers. It taught me how to drive and how to pick a line. I drove a lot of trails that people didn’t...
  3. My KOH Ride & Impressions - from a Jeep, Ranger Rover and Bronco owner

Not necessarily so. The most important thing to keep in mind is, how will you use your Bronco? I’m not talking about the dreams of tearing off across the desert, clawing up rock walls, etc. Be honest with yourself, how WILL you use it? Then maybe build it a little beyond that now, or plan on...
  4. My KOH Ride & Impressions - from a Jeep, Ranger Rover and Bronco owner

Most importantly, what do you think and what do you want? It’ll be your rig and you’ll be paying for it. Who cares what others think! IMO, 35s on the 4-door is the right size for on and off road, but 33s look good too. I think 37s is a waste of money—especially if looks are driving the...
  5. My KOH Bronco ride Mega Feedback Report and new information gleaned

Where the heck did you did that up? That's awesome and shows that we're not a whole lot smarter now days than we think we are.
  6. My KOH Ride & Impressions - from a Jeep, Ranger Rover and Bronco owner

Useless or just less convenient? I dragged two of my kids around in a 1989 2-door 4Runner for years. Sure, it was annoying at times, reaching into the back seat to strap kids in and get them out, but we still had a ton of fun! I'll admit that when our 3rd kid came around, we traded that 4Runner...
  7. Watch live now: stock Bronco First Edition running qualifying circuit at King of Hammers (KOH)

Check your local Ford dealer's Bronco Sport inventory for one in Area 51, or have your dealer let you know when they have one. Although Area 51 may look a little different on a Bronco versus a Bronco Sport, it might help you decide. That's what I did and my wife and I decided that Area 51 was...
  8. Watch live now: stock Bronco First Edition running qualifying circuit at King of Hammers (KOH)

Broncos corralled as daily drivers and mall crawlers, means less crowded trails and dirt roads for me to test the limits of my Bronco. I ain't feeling your pain!
  9. Watch live now: stock Bronco First Edition running qualifying circuit at King of Hammers (KOH)

Damn! That gave me goose bumps! I can't wait to be ripping across the desert in my 2-door! Thanks for sharing!
  10. HELP! 2 Door Overlander - Am I foolish to think it will work?

Speaking of fridges.... Check out ICECO 12V refrigerators (icecofreezer.com). Excellent fridges in a variety of sizes, and at very reasonable prices (especially compared to the well known "Overlanding" ones). I used to make fun of them, but after spending a weekend camping with a friend who...
  11. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

They are +55. There's a recent thread that confirms it.
  12. Black Diamond Bronco Thread

That’s probably what I’ll do too. I’m currently running that size/tire on my Suburban 2500. They have good street manners, they’re great in the snow and have performed very well off-road too. And they look aggressive and wear really well. Great tire!
  13. Summit Racing has 2021 Bronco axles listed

That's my plan. That way I can build the lift, suspension and tire combination that I want. I'm sure I'll end up spending more than the Sasquatch package costs, and it won't be under Ford's warranty, but that's my plan.
  14. Official info: Here’s Your Chances of 2021 vs 2022 Bronco Based on Reservation Timestamp and Dealer Allocation

That happened to me as well. I’m not going to fret about it though. I’ll get my Bronco sooner or later. In the mean time I’ll continue to play with my Jeep and fix up my Dodge M880.
  15. ?Cactus Gray Black Diamond with steel wheels (2-Door)

I like steelies too, but I'm more of a fan of the "D Window" look rather than the spare tire look. So I'll probably go with the Black Aluminum wheels, and shod my Bronco with some 285/70R17s right after I pick it up.
  16. ?Cactus Gray Black Diamond with steel wheels (2-Door)

EXACTLY! I've always preferred to stay "off the radar", and my Bronco will be for off-roading hard use where the bland gray will better hide the dings and scratches.
  17. ?Cactus Gray Black Diamond with steel wheels (2-Door)

I finally saw Cactus Gray in person today--on a new Ranger FX4. What a great color. I really like how it plays the light and surroundings, and it definitely has a subtle sage green to it. I like it so much it convinced me to get a BD build rather than a Basesquatch, which is really good because...
  18. Sasquatch Suspension Travel

Great information and provides much to think about. Fords preliminary tech specs list the BL suspension as having 9.4" in the front and 10.3" in the rear, compared to 7.9"/8.5" for the base suspension (Base, BB, BD and OB models from what I can tell), but I'm trying to stay well under $45K...
  19. Sasquatch Suspension Travel

Great questions and there is no shame in being a novice (we all were at one time or another). I'm not sure which Bronco videos you are referring to. I've seen a few and one that represents most of the wheeling we do is this one (please forgive me that it's from BN). I've driven many, if...
  20. Sasquatch Suspension Travel

That's great news and I appreciate the response. Basesquatch is making a lot of sense for me right now. Thanks.
