For the 2 door (also 4 door?) you can only easily take off the front panels. Removing the bulk of the top means removing many bolts, and a couple of people to lift off the back section. A soft top would be much faster to move up and down.

The first thing I did when I got my 73 1/2 cab was remove the top. That would save some steps here. :LOL:

I bet you could get it done for a lot less. Anyway, what is the cost of not driving it, but paying for it for 6 months or more? (if you paid cash, the money you could have invested etc.) And if the engine did blow for some other reason later, would the Ford techs even notice or care that there...

I'd like to know what that is worth. There is a cost to not wanting to drive it for 6 months while waiting for a resolution, or driving it only in specific areas to not get stranded. I'm not sure you can put exact dollar amounts on these types of inconveniences though.

This might be the way to go for those that don't want to be waiting for engine failure constantly. What do you think the cost will be?

Will you remove that device if you have to take the bronco in for service?

My main convern with any mods, including forscan, is anything that Ford would use to invalidate warranties. Seems like adding mud flaps is ok, everything else, good luck.

I think if I didn't hit ok fast enough, it went away, but I could be wrong.

For me, it was annoying having to reset the mode to Sport every time I get in the Bronco.

I assume that if a motor does disassemble we should re-enable ASS before taking it to the dealer.

Please don't excuse Ford for hiding a safety issue during a difficult time. Are other manufacturers risking lives knowingly and hiding?

Our estimates might get better over time, but they might not either. Only Ford knows the real story and they aint talkin. I mean what are they afraid of? If all of the May-August 2.7's eventually blow it will cost them a fortune to replace, compared to doing valve jobs now. The stock is already...

Glad you're all ok. I avoid taking anyone in my rig as much as possible, dogs included. It should be obvious to people that this is a safety issue, but many don't get it. We still get the oblivious jokers every day here saying "hey, it's got a warranty" and "drive it like ya stole it!"

If I could sell without taking any amount less than what I paid, I would. The odds of these motors lasting a regular lifetime don't seem good to me, and the replacement times are going to be long given the supply issues. But the major resellers like Carmax and Carvana aren't offering jack squat...

I haven't seen a way to add the warning sound to the backup sensor, for base models. Is this not doable?

nah, the cost to drive an EV is about half the cost of a normal ICE vehicle... and a third the cost of a Bronco. :LOL:
