I've been following this..... I too would like to see a different mounting option up there.
I have OEM racks, and am working on a bracket to mount to the front cross member location for antennae -- for an easy switch between GMRS and CB.
Saw this on another Bronco coming up out of...
Last December I looked at Jeeps, 2024 Broncos, and what was coming with the new 2025 Broncos.
I knew I did not want a Jeep or 2024.
Decision was influenced by this way of looking at things.
Still happy with it.
Kinda like my Volvo B20-B, that got squirrely not from hardening but because the steel cables were showing through the worn tread (college age budget days).
Finally bought new Yokohamas and that thing drove like a new car!
yeah, don’t cheap on old tires.
I spent 10 minutes laughing at myself, after...
spending 5 minutes trying to figure out what those cardboard things were above your headlights:
- Bug or rock deflectors?
- Light discipline for stealthy night cruises?
- Aerodynamic improvement ideas?
THEN I saw your other high tech...
I have a serious (😲) question about chase lights and etiquette.
The last time I was in a situation that needed anything like them was years ago in Glamis CA on a Thanksgiving night with windy rain (wet sand crammed into every crevice of the rally Volvo I had). You can imagine the crowds and...
lots said about up/down hills...... down in CA, up in WA.... sigh.
I appreciate the passing questions -- I'm usually the slow one who pulls over to let others pass, without needing to be asked.
Here's my latest etiquette gripe:
KNOCK OFF LEAVING CRAP LIKE THIS ALONG TRAILS !! :
haven't seen this small idea mentioned yet.....
I almost always have a gallon of DISTILLED water with me car camping -- it can be used for more than just drinking.
maybe it's a holdover from the days of topping off battery cells  , but I am thinking of emergency things like...
Ohhh!, and I thought this thread was going to be about Taco Bell bean burritos or something .....
Really though, if this helps any, I feel zero flow from the footwell in my '25 Badlands even though I can sense air valves doing stuff when I change settings.
Lights? I guess I have not been...
Gap problem solved!!
Yep, this piece of tape will probably end up staying there for 6 months, or until it falls off.:facepalm:
seriously; I don't like the dirty crud that comes outta there either -- you can see some grit here in the bumper gap even after a wash and wax session...
hahah
This dog looks as slouchy as I feel!
Well, am I the only one who knows this dashboard message?:
"BRAKES APPLIED, REDUCING ENGINE POWER"
Kind of a, well duhhh.... moment while braking a bit on a curvy road.
South of Everett towards Snohomish.
slightly* interested, will keep an eye on this. I'm another one of those no FB guys.
* I'll most likely be busy for any meet-up schedule, sigh........ always is that way for me.
Ha ha! I washed and waxed mine today as well (before it gets any colder here in the Pacific Northwest).
I too have a good tool for cleaning bronco hooves and treads... and used it today for some large stubborn rocks in the front I just KNOW were waiting to put another ding in either my rear...
another cheap DIY from Pops.
Spoiler: you won't find any blue text links to shopping sites, just my dumb photos so you won't have to add clicks to your day. :like:
Got my 35-year-old CB out and made a temporary bracket on the passenger side of the console.
Why CB? On the forest roads I...
It was a good day, but not long enough. I started out late.
Three things had me deciding on portable:
1. I KNOW I'm too slow getting things done like a compressor mounted.
'even thought about making a quick temporary portable mount if I got an under-hood style.
You should see my CB and...
So far, so good! I haven't aired down my 35 inch OEMs lower than 23 psi yet, so no real long airing up sessions at the end of the day.
It fills the two-tires-at-a-time quick enough that I don't spend more than 15 seconds "waiting".
I spend 30 seconds making sure things are packed in the back...
yaawWWWnnnn... Who's waking this up?
Ok then,
Just go to places full of trees, ready to come down after summer, at the beginning of an incoming early Fall weather front with wind, and there will be no one else around to worrying about waving to. Had the place to myself: 😟
(a national...
