You sure? The transmission gearing is different from the BD to the Badlands? Thought the only gearing change was with the squatch?
I'm not doubting you, just hadn't seen that and would love to read up on it.
Going to be interesting to see if any factory lift options will be made available in the oft touted "200+ accessories" we will have to choose from. Or maybe a Ford provided lift kit that's dealer installed.
Ford has said they wanted to provide a vehicle from the factory that would be comparable to what people have been building aftermarket wise for the past 50 years. I think they've done that and more. Quite impressive.
Unless you're a hard core off roader I'm not sure the upgrade to Badlands is worth the 6K. I've spent hours analyzing it and I know won't be doing anything super rough off road and the BD should be just fine. I could rationalize the upgrade for 2-3K. 6K is prohibitive.
We have a tendency...
As this is a second car for me and not necessarily my DD I want to keep it lower end and as cheap as possible. MT was a must and that's going to save me at least 3K on the squatch option.
When you look at the .pdf file on model comparisons you see some available options. If I can keep my...
Car seats definitely a valid concern. Was a great relief when mine finally outgrew theirs. Mine are now 9 and 11 and are spoiled with the room in the back of an F-250. But they are fired up to ride in the bronco with the roof and doors off. They'll get over the lack of space in comparison!
I've got that 8 inch screen on my '17 F-250 and it's plenty fine. Anything larger looks to me like they just stuck an Ipad in the dash. The giant one in the new Dodge trucks looks like awful. But it's becoming near standard industry wide. Suspect it's a trend we'll not see change anytime soon.
Maybe I'm just an ass but as long as I have room in the cockpit I'm not too worried about what kind of legroom my kids will have in the back. They are kids, they can deal with it!
On the video it looked like with the F-150 and the 250's it may need a level kit on the front. I've owned four Ford trucks. Put the cheap spring spacer puck 2 inch level on all of them. Much more pleasing look when it's sitting still in my opinion.
My dealer said they'd buy the stock 32's off it when delivered and put 33's on it of my choosing. Would only give me 100 or so per tire on the take offs but that's much easier than taking them off and selling them online.
Question for the thread, someone posted above that only the...
