That's exactly what I did. Cut drawer liner to fit the dash inserts and my glasses stay put without sliding all around. They're not secure during hard braking of course, but otherwise it works great.

I had a lot of noise when I first installed my light bar, but I put a wind diffuser on it and the nose is almost completely gone. I have a hard top, but the noise seemed to come from wind between the light bar and the window frame, not from the top or the mounts. Your experience may vary, but...

Edit - looks like this may be wrong. Leaving what I wrote for reference. Yes. This picture is with the cargo drawer, but you can see from the pic that the table sits almost flush against the door. The cargo security enclosures can't go any closer than that indent on the right side of the door...

Will the current version of the rear window molle panel work with the hardtop removed? I can't tell from the pictures if it mounts to the plastic or just to the body.
