  1. Confused by some of the hate on the lease option. Seems wise for those wanting Low Down and Lower Monthly Payments

I am not trying to argue with you. Literally every time there is a lease thread I avoid commenting because it always turns into a mess. Trust me I do have a full understanding of the true costs of leasing, I work in finance for a living and have a degree in economics from a very reputable...
  2. Confused by some of the hate on the lease option. Seems wise for those wanting Low Down and Lower Monthly Payments

Setting aside someone who would hold a car longer and be out of warranty, that's a completely different discussion. Simply for someone who, like my mother, will only drive a car with new factory warranty and maintenance for three years, it really makes very little difference. If I lease her a...
  3. Confused by some of the hate on the lease option. Seems wise for those wanting Low Down and Lower Monthly Payments

I didn't read through the whole thread but I don't think anyone mentioned this. Leasing is great if you want a new car every three years, always need a warranty, etc.. I lease cars for my mother all the time because that's exactly what she wants. You don't typically come out ahead or behind...
  4. Lancaster PA Chapman Ford Non-refundable deposit!!!

Anyone who quotes F&F in casual conversation is OK in my book. As long as pricing discussions don't end in "more than you can afford, pal."
  5. Black Diamond with Steel Wheels, Who ordered/Is going to order

For those of us planning to drive in winter, 7.5 actually isn't a bad thing.
  6. Where are you going for a loan?

PenFed is usually pretty good. I haven't checked yet but sometimes AARP can get you like $500 off on certain cars too. You don't have to be over a certain age to join, I've been a member since I was 30.
  7. Lancaster PA Chapman Ford Non-refundable deposit!!!

I actually just switched to Chapman Horsham. I dealt directly with the owner who posted elsewhere about folks wanting to get 2022 / 2023 cars. Great communication, no big deposit, easy to work with and very responsive to questions. I think to be fair "bad dealers" fall into 1 of 2 camps. First...
  8. Levine says 2022 Bronco (22MY) will get multiple new colors and special editions

If you wait until after 3/19 to convert you'll be in the 2022 queue based on your time stamp, so exactly what you are trying to accomplish.
  9. Compared to a Defender - some general thoughts and concerns.

Farah just did a good Defender video... on-road one coming soon too.
  10. Was anyone able to order a roof rack separately?

Great, thanks! I have a garage and half a basement full of car stuff I don't use or need on a regular basis (extra sets of wheels, spare parts I upgraded, etc.). Don't want to add to the pile if I don't have to!
  11. Was anyone able to order a roof rack separately?

Maybe a dumb question, but should I order a roof rack even if I don't plan on using it? I'm not tall enough to really put anything on the roof without a ladder and would use a hitch mount for bikes, skis etc. But if I order straight from factory will I also get all the pre-painted trim pieces to...
  12. 2021 Bronco Lease Residuals (including Heritage Edition!)

I am just happy I found a local-ish dealer with a lifetime powertrain warranty
  13. 2021 Bronco Lease Residuals (including Heritage Edition!)

If they do and you have the cash to throw at it you should 100% due this. At least on the BMWs I've looked at the return on the $ is INSANE.
  14. 2021 Bronco lease prices are up now on build & price

For those carrying a note on a purchase... gap insurance is cheap and a good idea for the same reason. Last thing you want is to total your car then owe someone money. No universal answer on the age-old lease vs buy debate. 99% of cars are depreciating assets.
  15. 2021 Bronco lease prices are up now on build & price

There are tax advantages for certain people to lease, beyond that like you said if you get a new car every 3-4 years you're typically no better off lease versus buy. Always have a warranty, no surprises, get something new with zero headache. As long as you don't do a cap cost reduction there's...
  16. LETTER FROM MY DEALER

That's really good. And here I am about to switch dealers.
  17. 2021 Bronco lease prices are up now on build & price

That is pretty universal with most brands, unless you lease another car with them.
  18. When do you want your Bronco? poll

Ideal scenario for me would be Feb 2022 delivery of a MY22... we have 3 cars and 2 drivers in the household, this will be a 4th so def not up against the gun like some with leases expiring or cars about to die. Beyond that until everyone is vaccinated and my office returns to normal I barely...
  19. Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Hopefully with integrated cord management of some sort...
  20. Sasquatch package not an option on Black Diamond now?

It's on and off every other day, B&P is a joke I wouldn't get too hung up on it.
