  1. Is the Bronco already obsolete ?

Anyone who hasn't already watched the video noted previously in this thread "why renewables cant save the planet", should watch it, it'll open your eyes, I had already seen it. ICE vehicles will still be on the road long after everyone on this thread is long gone. Probably more efficient hybrid...
  2. First view of hood scoop accessory option on 2021 Bronco (+ door moldings)

No thank you. Wouldn't mind though if Ford or the aftermarket comes out with a functional louvered hood, maybe something like the Raptors hood.
  3. Old style antenna on some Bronco pics

FWIW, on a previous vehicle I relocated the old style antenna to underneath the trim piece of the passenger side windshield pillar. Didn't work quite as well but it was totally out of the way then.
  4. Towing capacity

I would guess an sas. Bronco will be a slightly worse tow vehicle than a non-sas. Bronco. The sas. larger and heavier tires will make a Bronco accelerate, brake, and corner worse than a non-sas. Bronco when not towing, and will also make towing a bit more challenging. One of the reasons I'm not...
  5. Towing capacity

The Bronco tow rating really is pretty low, I think even an Audi Q5 is rated to tow 4400 lbs.
  6. Wait for the 8....Raptor R

Thanks for posting, that's a great video, great background music too. Afraid to to think what that might go for.
  7. Towing capacity

The low tow rating of the new Bronco is why I'm not sold on it yet, I'm waiting to see owners towing reports, and what the aftermarket comes up with to increase towing stability, if not the overall tow rating.
  8. No more tunes in Cali?? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

FWIW, I took a look at the Ford Factory "power pack performance calibration" for the Ranger, it says 50 states legal and specifically notes it has Kali "carb" approval, so hopefully any such factory tune for the Bronco 2.7 will also be 50 states legal. Probably good enough for me.
  9. No more tunes in Cali?? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

Interesting, thanks for posting. Would you all figure that private company tunes may be an issue in the peoples republic in the future, but that official Ford factory tunes should be OK? I thought I saw someone say supposedly Ford was going to offer a tune for the 2.7, similar to what they offer...
  10. Crafty Storage Options?

I hope some company makes an overhead storage box like that link, for the 4 door Bronco.
  11. Spotted in Michigan today

Thanks for posting. The Raptor probably has the regular 35" tires (?), not the 37" option shown a couple weeks ago.
  12. Dog safety and comfort

Used to carry 3 German shepherds in my 11' JKUR, each with their own tether. Only have 1 now, but will be getting another, will continue to use tethers.
  13. Bumper mounted multifunction led lightbar

Rigid adapt. I dont own one yet, but it has different lighting patterns. You can tie it to an accessory gps and it'll change patterns based on the vehicle speed. Several sizes available, I have no idea how it might fit on a Bronco bumper, but it looks like a pretty good option.
  14. Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 Launch Edition starts at $74,995

The 392 is awesome, I love it, but I think the Warthog will be a better vehicle overall. It seems like IFS would generally be better in a higher horsepower, relatively small off road oriented suv.
  15. Theft Prevention...

I like that 3m ultra 800 film. If they could put that on vehicle windows, I think it'd be a big plus. I'm in the bay area, I think S.F. is the capitol of vehicle break-ins. Seems like some film like that could really slow down the break-ins.
  16. Anybody currently driving tuner cars? Planning on keeping it when you get your Bronco?

Bought my wife a new 17' S3 a few years back, she likes it, barely drives it, doesnt like SUV's. We'll probably get another new speedy car of some kind for her in a year or two. For me; I'm still on the fence about the Bronco, waiting to hear owners reports and towing reviews.
  17. Will MGV interior withstand pouring rain and wet outsides overnight?

I doubt whether the entire interior is made to be able to sit overnight in the rain and be 100% fine. Seems to me there would be electrical problems after that, but if someone can show me where Ford said that sort of exposure is fine with no issues, I'll stand corrected. I'd be very surprised if...
  18. POLL: Does your spouse know you're buying a Bronco?

The dude secretly buying the Bronco and hiding it from his wife and kids; probably never should have gotten married, and even worse, shouldn't of had kids. If he's like that about a vehicle (again; its just a vehicle, its not a person), he's like that in other ways, and those are 3 kids that are...
  19. Performance pack tune

I think a lot of people want a vehicle that's decent off road, and can still put some miles down on the highway, and also tow something at the tow limit of the vehicle on a long uphill, and not have to slow down to 35 mph or whatever. There are a lot of long, steep highway uphills here in Kali...
