They were always amplified however it was by the front ACM @20w RMS ish. Now they are driven off the back, they now would probably be running between 30-40w RMS at absolute best. We are yet to measure this though.
The C2s are only rated to 25w RMS so you'll definitely need to be careful! We push out 70.
Also make sure that you have a high pass filter set at atleast 350hz on those dash speakers or you'll definitely blow them

I like the Hertz CX100s across the dash and then the MP165 in the kicks.
The morels tempo ultras sound better but dont fit in the dash that well.
The Audiofrog range is also another great option and they do fit!

I think the main take home point is, if you have a B&O system do it once and do it properly!

I have heard a whole bunch of different subs in the bronco and I would say the morel is hands down the best. The stinger has the best output for $ ratio though, its cheap for the doof you get. Both hit significantly harder than the Sealth box
