Hi. I’m looking for a moderate off-road trail in SoCal. Anyone have a good recommendation? Not looking to do any rock crawling or hardcore trails. Just trails that are good for a family outing but more than a dirt road. I’ll also have a lifted Crosstrek traveling with me.
Thank you in advance...
If you can find it, that would be great to see the info. If not, no big deal. Not sure I’ll pull the trigger on this mod before I do some others. But it sure would be nice to have the bigger screen and somehow add the front camera.
I’ve said it a thousand times now. Should have bought the Badlands.
I considered doing this with a Hero5 session. It’s about the same size as the OE factory front camera. The problem I was finding was the delay as video streamed to the phone. Do newer GoPros not have the delay issue?

No. Didn’t notice a difference with the hardtop. Soft-top had a decent amount of noise. But that’s also the nature of soft tops. Also, the shorter brackets caused the soft top to flap all over the place. Had to use taller brackets to prevent the flapping. Hope that helps for your setup.
Got one. Looks good. But the plastic tabs you screw into on the back break really easy. So be careful when screwing on the part you have to swap from your original grille. Also swapping the clips is a bit annoying. You’d think it would just come with the metal clips. Overall I like the look...
Have you timed the delay? Curious how long it is. I thought about mounting a GoPro to the front since a BD couldn’t be upgraded to have a front facing camera. But the GoPro delay is about 3-5 seconds. Obviously not ideal. Curious to know if this has a shorter delay.
