I agree totally with you. But have no idea if it apply too the Bronco. Check to see if it is on the Ranger. It would be really bad for off road. Imagine holding on a rise and the motor shuts off. Not good.
Every time I ask about the "roll bar strength" I get blown off.
I starting to think it is only for looks. I drive on some dangerious trails up in the mountains and IT MATTERS TO ME. So lets have Ford will it handle a roll over or not!!
Take a hard look at the units doing the Rubicon they all have a roll cage. I even e-mailed Ford and they said it was to protect the engineers who don't know what there doing. So I mailed back saying "So that means the stock roll bay will not protect you? ) Never got a reply.
I have been watching the off road adventures of the new Bronco at Mo ab and the
Rubicon. What concerns me is that all the units testing have extensive roll cages apparently reinforcing the factory roll bar. This is disconcerting to me as I assumed
Ford would along with all the other upgrades...
Ford is selling the heck out of the ability of the Bronco to go anywhere.
MY Question is : Are the roll cages I see in the Bronco's in Mo ab and Rubicon Available to the
buyer as ether stock or as an option. If not then Ford better put a declaimer in there purchase agreement stating the stock...

Price is the main deal breaker. 50 grand for a Bronco is way to much. Also in my experience factory accessory's are priced almost double the after market. Which by the way is getting off the charts also. You can finance an oil filter at Summit Racing. This should tell Ford a story.
