  1. 1k mile new owner worthless observations

This is my favorite bronco analogy now. I am going to use it when describing my hard top noise to friends who are not yet indoctrinated in the way of Bronco. Thank you :)
  2. how did you handle first stone chip on body?!

I've done that too.... DOH. Made several nicks in the "hump" in the tailgate pretty good. I don't even know when it happened, but I know for sure that I've pushed my li'l trunk area to the limits a few times. Hmm, maybe I should look into a paint pen as well.

@FORD EMPLOYED 22OBX just bumping this line of questioning... sorry to bug you again. Did you have the opportunity to look into this further? (edit: thanks again... a lot to chew on in this AMA)

Do you know if Ford is considering taking action beyond TSB 22-2371 for the manual transmission grinding noise? Sounds like some folks were getting repeat issues after that work was performed. Can link you to the relevant threads if you're not already tuned in. Thank ya!
  5. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

Thanks! You got me beat, I only had two :) well heck, hopefully you can put 'em to use! My only annoyance with running them is I didn't bother with TPMS, and the Bronco likes to remind me EVERY time I start the car (have to clear the message in the gauge cluster by hitting OK). Maybe there's a...
  6. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

So I am learning about the ice and snow, haha. Since it’s so persistent I’ve had to modify my thinking on driving with snow and ice (vs eastern WA). Definitely had to learn ways of finding confidence in my tires / hopefully haven’t thrown too much caution out the window! yes I will have to go...
  7. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

Thanks! I was a little nervous about the highway/ice, but it was all smooth sailing. I need to check out different routes, I’ve pretty much only been down that road so far.
  8. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

Yeah, reading some of the articles about the igloo, I was pretty sad to hear it never got off the ground in the first place. Someone’s dream that never quite made it. It’s such a cool structure though. Surprisingly robust, considering the years of neglect! I hear you about the stops… haha...
  9. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

Probably yea! You’ll want to get some adapter rings but they’re readily available. I’ll link the ones I used down below. the Toyota wheels do poke out a bit compared to the base set I was running. (106mm to 93.1mm adapter) WHEEL CONNECT Hub Centric Rings...
  10. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

    🤣🤣🤣 …no comment… …but my last rig might’ve been a 4Runner…
  11. Fairbanks to Cantwell Mini Alaska Road Trip

We drove from Fairbanks to Cantwell over the weekend to stay in a yurt and poke around the area. one of the doggies got excited and loaded herself up early. color match was unintentional but not unexpected (I have a problem with getting too much yellow gear) Put on my Shark Thule and tried...
  12. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Thanks! I got the twistedshifterz yellow! I actually didn’t spec thread size in my order, there was a bronco-specific adapter kit that came with it so no consideration was necessary 😝
  13. Drop a Picture of Your Bronco for a Rating

Geared up for a weekend road trip from Fairbanks to Cantwell
  14. Anyone make Aluminum Rock or Sliders?

For whatever it's worth I went with Greenlane sliders on my 2dr and am liking them so far (8 months of use maybe). I haven't used them as sliders yet, but they work well as steps and cut down on the amount of rocks that fling up to the car from the front tires. The powder coating in the areas...
  15. Regrets Anyone?

I'd have the same feeling if I periodically had rear passengers. I've had the same annoyances with having to readjust the seat after letting someone in. Luckily I hardly ever do this and am loving the 2 door - but I see where you're coming from!
  16. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I added some sheepskin seat covers from Alaska Leather (though I think they were made in WA). Mission complete on yellowing out my interior 😹 🙀
  17. FINALLY! Custom 7 speed Shift Knob w/ Bronco headlights-grille design! Installed. ⭐️

I ordered yellow. I think is pretty close to cyber orange, just a little bit lighter colored maybe.
  18. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

Thank ya! It’s the yellow option from twistedshifterz. Maybe slightly lighter than cyber orange, but pretty darn close I thought.
