Mine has generally done fine in high winds. The one exception to that was when I was driving through central WA which has fast highway and very strong consistent wind. Vantage, WA area / wind farm territory⦠predictably very windy.
Doing 70mph with an unknown headwind (30? 40?) it would somehow...
I follow "LUCYTHEBRONCO" on IG and they recently had a sta-bar issue too, from the looks of it. Apparently it leaked and dealer resolved by replacing the sta-bar. (edit: I gather that one didn't go away on its own like yours did, though)
(Note: dated updates to this original post are located at the bottom of the post)
Well, my bronc threw some DTCs and went into limp mode when I was about 70 miles into a trip out of Fairbanks, AK. Temps throughout the drive were between -5 and -25F. All hwy speeds / 2wd. Went into limp mode and...
Same! The level of chonk when seeing it in person definitely won me over to the āok, this thing is pretty coolā camp. Still, though, where Iām at in life, the price would just be too much but Iād 10/10 take a bequeathment (is that a word? š³)
I think if it was close to the initial launch price...
There a few chargers but nothing in comparison to the lower 48. Mostly you see block heater outlets⦠those are everywhere. Iād be curious if those would even provide enough juice to keep the batteries up to temp when itās super cold.
Oh thatās cool! Iām still new(ish) to the area but am finding all sorts of cool stuff like this goes on. Saw a few cool looking Rivian SUVs on the highway headed toward North Pole a few months back too. Gotta keep a look out for other cold prototype testing going on now š§
I spotted a cyber truck up here in Fairbanks, AK, and had to take a pic with my bronco next to it. I imagine theyāre doing some cold weather testing. Over the last week itās gotten down to -25F some spots in town⦠good time to experience cold if thatās what theyāre angling for.
Up close this...
Fairbanks is kind of a letdown so far, at least in regard to cold temps. Iāve only caught -20F⦠was hoping to get below the -36 from this time last year. Will keep searching for the cold spots š¤
Iām using a very tiny rhino rack for skis. Itās small enough that I can fit my Thule next to itā¦. just barely. Can get a few boards into the Thule.
c-c-c-c-c-ocaine!
(sorry, had Bing make this for me, I have no idea what I'm doing... all this talk about what's behind the grill got me thinking about Rockso the clown, though)
Iām rocking a 2-door hardtop/base/manual/2.3. 16k miles so far. Itās got more wind noise than my 96 bronc, although slightly less creaks and cracks⦠and a similar plasticky interior. Sadly no cassette deck. Iām a big fan of how it drives - it feels peppy and handles well, at least to my somewhat...
Hah, I have this husky washer from Costco. Also has stroke like symptoms but seems it sorts itself out after a few minutes to of use. I always figured it was trying to pump air but I guess I never really bothered to figure it out. Sad to see someone else is having the same weirdness :/
Hah, I just noticed this on mine today. I just washed the thing (finally thawed up here⦠snow since OCT so itās been a whileā¦.) and maybe Iām actually getting rubber on rubber on the rear seals now š§ Iāll try the lube option as well and report backā¦
Base 2door 2.3 MT on 33ā k02s, Iām getting around 20 with mostly highway. Usually Iām going pretty easy on the pedal. Was getting closer to 24 with the base tire and wheel setup.
For whatever it's worth, I'll also add my experiences here.
I had the same successful experience with the previous post when using the 2.3.52 version of FORSCAN. I was able to update tire size, and then clear the DTCs after running the PCM "Module initialization/relearn from Central...
