Spoke via email with sales manager at Brewster. He confirmed he intends to honor original offer of x-plan minus half commission.
he asked if the group has gone elsewhere, and I explained that many were still holding out for a better deal.
Significantly, he did add the following, of which I had...
I understand what you are saying, but I am not a sheep being lead to slaughter. I want the Bronco or I wouldn’t have RSVP’d or contributed to the attempts to secure a fair price, but there is literally no way I am paying MSRP for a car, any car, ever. There are other options. There are always...
Their dealers won’t be profitable if would-be customers walk away, and new customers who do buy walk away feeling like they weren’t treated fairly. Dealer reputation and brand loyalty over time are earned by more than offering a good product.
Apart from profiteering, why wouldn’t Ford offer X Plan?
This would be my first Ford, and I’m not sure that’s the right way to start a relationship.
Lots of valid points. If Ford doesn’t abide their customers, new and repeat, I’m buying a Rubicon and walking away from the Bronco. I’m sure jeep will welcome me with open arms when the competition heats up.
that said, I’m looking to Brewster Ford to honor their slightly below x plan deal. They...
He said it varies slightly based on VIN, but thought it would be around $520, so Assuming that ballpark number is accurate, half that would be taken off X-Plan price.
I had a conversation with Brewster Ford this morning, and asked Brian, the sales manager, to send me an email outlining what we discussed so I wouldn’t miscommunicate any of the details. Here is what he sent me:
“As discussed the agreement that I verbally made with you is as followed. I would...
Brewster wants to talk. for ease of reference, can someone outline for me where the best dealers on this forum have come out on pricing? I’d like to have that before engaging further.
I also emphasized during my communications that the RSVPs will be delivered/sold before dealers can sell to those without an RSVP. A volume play gives the dealer a tremendous amount of public visibility moving so many vehicles so early on, relatively. Many of these same RSVP buyers would...
Brewster Ford. They indicated they intend to charge MSRP except on FE, where they will add an ADM. I conta them again yesterday to see whether they’d be open to working with this group. Haven’t yet heard back.
I must be missing something with the smug - we Can and will charge YOU, interested but not yet committed potential buyer MSRP even though I haven’t sold a bread and butter vehicle at sticker since the 1950s mentality. If all of the RSVP’s get delivered first, before dealers can receive their...
My RSVP is with Brewster Ford. They responded to my inquiry by saying they will charge MSRP, except on FE, which will get an ADM. They will honor X plan, but I’m not eligible, so looking for something better on price, though Brewster has a decent reputation overall..
I wonder if we approached a dealer and said we could get them at least 5 Bronco reservations In exchange for offering all 5 invoice pricing, if any would bite.
