Yeah, I don't buy the trucker shortage narrative. I work for an OEM and our output has remained around 700 vehicles/day and the total number in our yard has remained constant. Trucks come in and out all day long just as they always have.
Also, isn't there a massive vehicle shortage due to the...
This is not 100% true. Ford, and every other OEM, has Supplier Quality Engineers who ensure their suppliers follow strict quality control procedures. These SQEs should be in the supplier plants constantly during a ramp up to ensure everything is built correctly and quality control processes are...
I would definitely say there is. There are way too many soft top builds in limbo for there not to be some new issue. I have the exact same build as someone at my dealership who was also scheduled for production the same week as me (8/30). He got his 3 weeks ago and mine is still MIA.
Same here. Nothing has changed for me since 9/3.
Ford should never do reservations again because this has been and continues to be an absolute disaster.
I feel like that's how many people have received their Broncos from the 8/30 build week, hah. Every time I get on here I see more pictures of Broncos being delivered.
Still no update on my order which is still showing in production since 9/3. I just don't understand how people with build dates the week after mine are receiving their Broncos. Clearly FIFO is out the window. What a cluster.
Congratulations! I'm unbelievably jealous. I'm also with Two Rivers Ford but my Bronco is stuck "In Production" with a blend date of 09/03. Clearly something is going on as I would have thought mine would have been on the truck with yours. When was your blend date?
How did you get this information? Mine has been "In Production" since 9/3 with no updates. I would love to know if there is an issue or if it's just waiting on shipping.
9/3 blend date, modules are populating, but no progress on the pizza tracker or email. Shipment is by convoy.
Shipping info shows pending on palsapp, so I assume the hold up is shipping and not actual production delays or quality holds.
Well, I can't speak for all dealers but I asked mine what the process of pushing the order back was and they said they would make it priority 99 whenever I say the word.
You could priority 99 your order which would put it off until the following year. Not sure how many times you could do that. Push it until 2023 if possible and screw them right back over.
Very few end users agree with that definition of quality and of course a manufacturers goal is to determine the wants of their customers and meet those expectations. This does not meet quality standards, which is clearly why Ford is giving away the $495 sound deadening headliner.
It makes a difference if there are 10 hard top orders versus 2 ahead of yours. It’s probably the difference between a 21 and a 22. Without this transparency, making an informed decision whether or not to move on isn’t possible.
My dealer is the same way. They won’t tell me how many unfulfilled orders are ahead of me, where I was overall in line, or allocation numbers. It’s very frustrating.
I spoke with Wyatt Johnson today and asked them if there would be any special pricing and they only mentioned the free lifetime warranty. They never mentioned invoice pricing. I also cannot find this information listed on their website.
