Has anyone had a dealer install the shield on a working alternator for the 2.7 yet? If so, how much was the labor charge? What is the name of the part used to remove/install the stretch belt?

They do, but aren't near as strong. Might fall off.

Shouldn't be as difficult for you then. TBH, they are good quality and light up pretty good. A lot cleaner look IMO compared to Pods.

I did a video on them. They can be a pain to install if you have the LUX package. There is also multiple threads already in here on them.

My first question is how do you empty them? Do you have to completely disassemble them for that?

Yeah, June is typically too early to go due to snow. We still got over a month before we get there.

The aftermarket is way behind on this unfortunately. I'm hoping there will be some better developments down the road. The Wicked Creations LT setup with new Lower control arms might be our best bet for now.

Pretty neat that they are all relatively close and are definite improvements over stock. To me, this means we have a lot of good options to choose from!

Just wanted to share my install video in case anyone was thinking about get the @Mountains2Metal unit.

My Badlands was a Sasquatch and it sits 3” over Sasquatch. A non-Sasquatch Badlands doesn’t sit as high as the Sasquatch models (regardless of trim). Just want to make sure I’m not confusing you. The non-Sasquatch badlands only sits like 0.5”-1” over other non-Sasquatch trims.

I'd be surprised if our friends at @Mabett or another aftermarket company doesn't make something similar in the future. If this can be done at a more reasonable price point, I think a lot of folks would jump on it.
