I've got a reservation at Stephens and am trying to figure out different build prices. The thing that is throwing me off is that the build and price tool adds certain options to the base price of thr vehicle and others as options. For example, I think b&p adds the price of the Sasquatch package...
Thank you for thr response. I'm really hoping Ford comes out with a green body color, so I'm willing to wait till '22 to get it.
I'd place my order now, but I'm afraid, like you said, of not being able to modify it later if Ford decides to make it so.
Thank you again, John. I appreciate you...
@StephensAutoCenter , how do we go about deferring our order to MY '22?
I have an exceptionally late reservation, Sept. 13, so there isn't much risk of me getting a MY '21, but I want to make sure I do what is necessary to not lose my reservation.
Ford isn't in this to help you or do you favors. It wants as much of your money in its pocket as it can get.
Don't think otherwise. It will take every opportunity to take advantage of you as it can get.
Most adults should be able to handle it. If they are in a situation where they absolutely NEED a vehicle then making a reservation for a Bronco to be purchased in a year probably wasn't their move in the first place.
Personally, if this pushes me into MY 22, I'm cool with that. I'm hoping for a...
I agree with your points. I dont think a lot of that stuff should be considered abuse per se. Vehicles should be able to handle things that would be considered normal, and Indont really think any of that stuff is outside of normal too much.
There is a lot we don't know about what that...
I think that would be more likely to fall under a manufacturer defect if it happened right out of the dealer's lot. 2 years down the road would be more arguable.
I think both of those scenarios are different than the guy that was the subject of this post.
By his own admission and posted...
I havent seen a ton of vehicle warranties, but the ones I have typically say they vehicle is to be free from manufacturing defects. Most of them typically explicitly exclude wear and tear as well as damage caused by abuse.
I guess there might be exceptions, but I haven't happened upon them...
A warranty is really to guarantee your vehicle will be free from manufacturing defects. It's not to cover damage done to the vehicle that you caused by abusing it.
Say what you want about the purpose of thr Bronco (or jeep), there is no way the warranty is going to cover damage done when wheeling.
I respectfully disagree. I definitely analyze every aspect of a potential 40k purchase.
Indo not want to sink that much money into a vehicle that cannot be what I want it to be or do what I want/need it to do.
