  1. Bilstein 6100 vs OEM Kits

I met a guy 2 weeks ago with a Wildtrak in 37s running Eibach coils. I said it looks kinda tight up front and he said yeah AND his coil adjustment is maxed out. I was shocked. And he did have an aftermarket front bumper but not super heavy one. He also had the JKS kit installed. The only...
  2. GOBI Bronco Rack Released [Official Specs & Photos]

@GrumpyVet This thread helped. All this time I’d been using the stated Sasquatch height as WITHOUT roof rails cuz you can’t order a SAS today w roof rails. So really a SAS is 78.7” MINUS 3.386” which makes the roof top 75.3” So now add 75.3 + Gobi 5.5 (to the crossbars) equals ~81”. Add 10”...
  3. GOBI Bronco Rack Released [Official Specs & Photos]

Ok. More questions: We might be talking apples & oranges. We know the hard top is not even from side to side. The center dips down when compared to the sides nearest the windows…..right? Maybe it’s super small?? I don’t know what this delta is but I think when FORD quotes max height of a Bronco...
  4. Bilstein 6100 vs OEM Kits

the rear springs aren't rated for extra weight generally carried by Overlanders (heavy bumpers, rack, roof top tent, fridge, gear, etc etc. I'm sure they'd be fine for OEM vehicles overlanding w minimal weight addition.
  5. RCI Bronco Rock Sliders Are Here!

I just need to step to get access to rack and RTT, so 20 will work perfect and I think looks best
  6. RCI Bronco Rock Sliders Are Here!

RCI has told me the delta between 5 & 20 in width for step is about .25" (minimal) so I went 20

  8. RCI Bronco Rock Sliders Are Here!

Every Bronco I've seen with some sort of slider/step but NO mudflap, sees no improvement from the rooster tail of crap thrown on your Bronco. I think mudflaps are the only full proof way
  9. RCI Bronco Rock Sliders Are Here!

Those look PERFECT. I’m very glad I went with 20 as well. Just enough step area but great protection. Good job!!! Looks amazing
  10. Raptor Tailgate Hinges installed with Hammerbilt Bracket

Are they Raptor hinges or Raptor like hinges built by HB? Do we know the pins are different?
  11. Raptor Tailgate Hinges installed with Hammerbilt Bracket

Good solid points. I’d like to know more about the pin material on the Raptor vs non. Is HB designing a new hinge or just using Raptor? I’m recently retired but spent 35yrs designing aircraft for Boeing, much of that in door and wing structure/mechanisms. I will point out on my diagram I...

  13. Raptor Tailgate Hinges installed with Hammerbilt Bracket

I have been perplexed about this tailgate hinge load from the beginning of when the forum started talking about it. As an engineer these things swirl in my mind and I must solve "my concern". I created this picture to try and demonstrate my thoughts. Upper picture is no reinforcement and lower...
