  1. Patrick Mahomes' Bronco

He can afford one from each model year up to this year's!
  2. Patrick Mahomes' Bronco

I was expecting a fully restored and modded '66 Bronco, but I like his choice. Except for the wheels!
  3. First thing you did to your Bronco?

First thing I did...I drove it home from the dealer, with a big smile the whole 165 mile drive!
  4. Is Ford Service really this bad?!

I went to a local auto repair shop (nothing is "local" out here in the boonies; it's 75 miles away), and they did an oil change (full synthetic) and a 5 tire rotation for $135.00; which seems reasonable, and it took about 90 minutes. The closest dealer to me is 140 miles away, and the shop I...
  5. False Alarm. Hood open - Security Alert.

Happened to me once on a really washboardy, potholed dirt road (about 12 miles long). Was towing my teardrop at the time, at the end of a 350 mile drive. Stopped, opened and closed the hood, no change. The next morning it was OK, and I did the same trip about a month later and it didn't happen...
  6. Times have changed!

Cool, but you have the appropriate color for a new Bronco!
  7. What rig / vehicle did you give up to get your Bronco?

2021 Trail Boss LT; miss it and it's towing and hauling capacity, but not as much as I love The Hulk!
  8. Bronco Boondockers! Show your rig, camper, roof top tent RTT 🏕️

    Great minds think alike, apparently!
  9. Oh Hail! Any suggestions?

They're both the only acceptable color, so either one works!
  10. Has there been a poll for new bronco ownership ages?

70, which apparently puts me in a very select group. By "select" I mean small! And old!
  11. Overhead storage for under $30.00

Great idea, but how do you keep the fiery hot orange Cheeto dust off the bags?
  12. Mountains2Metal 4th of July Sale

So 10% off their $400 medicine cabinet makes it...carry the 7...subtract the 4...still way too much $!
  13. Sasquatch w/ towing package = not enough room to hook the trailer to the ball!

From what I've seen the extensions 1/2 the tow and tongue weight capacity; I went with a long shank ball receiver with a triple ball!
  14. Our 2 Door Bronco's Towing Performance

Thought that I'd reply since I have a '22 4 dr non-Sas BD w/2.3 and MT. My tear drop is a '23 Tag XL Boondock, weight of approx 1500 lbs + about 500 lbs of gear, tongue weight of approx 200. Ball mount is a Curt long shank w/3 balls, and it's very heavy duty and heavy (weighs about 50 lbs, I'd...
  15. Curt Echo wireless brake controller - experiences?

I've used mine 3 times now with my NuCamp TagXL BD, twice for 850 mile round trips, once for 350, and it worked flawlessly. I do add a ziptie since the connection is kind of flimsy and I just don't trust the rubber strap, and about 80 of those miles were on really rough dirt roads, but it held...
  16. The Packhorse - Expandable Cargo Solution

Perfect! Putting 2 ea 2x4's in, then a 1" plywood platform should get me (almost) to the top of the tie downs!
  17. The Packhorse - Expandable Cargo Solution

Thanks for your reply, but I was asking for the measurement from the flat portion of the tray to the top of the tray, where the 4 semi-circular with the hole in the middle tabs are. It looks like placing 2ea 2x4's in the tray from front to back at the position of the tabs and placing a piece of...
  18. The Packhorse - Expandable Cargo Solution

Looks to be a really well designed slide out! Any chance you could post the height from the bottom of the slide out tray to the top of the 4 raised tie down points; looks like simply placing 2 2x4's with a 1/2" to 1" piece of plywood on top would make it level for sleeping. When I don't take my...
  19. What’s wrong with these pics?

Isn't that more like three tone?
  20. MT Black Diamond

He hasn't eaten anyone in a long time, but you never know!
