They might be talking a lot about Rovers, but there are more Wranglers than Rovers by a large margin in CT
There are only 4 Rover dealers in CT. A dozen within 20 miles.
Yes Ford is in big trouble.
Wouldn't surprise me if they cut something. They idled their plants and the company is suspending its dividend and it will borrow the total unused amounts against two lines of credit.
The 3.3 makes the most sense for the bronco to compete head to head with the wrangler. but I doubt ford will put it in. Its a shame its the ideal engine for it.
I'd like to see Ford offer a roller so we can outfit it ourselves.
That won't happen so I'm looking at a engine and tranny swap kit along with a front axle swap kit.
Lightening Blue with a white top would do it.
Back in the old days you could order any color Ford used ( Ford ,Mercury ,Lincoln)
I've seen Lincoln colors on Fords.
I thought that was to hide the rust, DMV wouldn't let us use duct tape to "patch" rust holes since the early 80s Once your were on the JCW mailing list you couldn't get off it was true.
You should've been there for the 80s, cars were full of decals and fake/non functional stuff all over them.
The saving grace is the aftermarket will take care of the areas Ford screws up or misses.
As a F stock holder I have a keen interest in seeing the Bronco become successful. Something has to bring the company back from the brink.
Its supposed to be competition for the Wrangler, I 'm not going to explain that.

You can't build a turbo motor to produce predictable low end or torque values as high, the 2.3 torque curve is vertical from 2500 to 3000, try to control that on a slippery surface.
you got that backwards. Clutches don't get hot unless the driver is slipping it excessively, if they are they shouldn't be behind the wheel. Autos not only heat them selves they over heat the engine too.
Over heat an auto and the whole thing is cooked, no way to over heat manual.
The dealers are large part of the problem by not stocking manuals.
Read the fine print on loan offers, the low APR is on DEALER STOCK not cars that are ordered. So if your dealer doesn't stock manuals you get the shaft on financing. Most people are looking at payments and won't order a car...

BRONCO RIDES AGAIN
Way back in 1966, Ford introduced its original SUV and cut a trail to the great outdoors that would be followed by generations of Americans. And now, Bronco is coming back, strapped with...
