I wanted Reardon metal. Oh well, those times are long gone.... Who is John Galt?
  2. Canyonlands white rim trail

Yeah, I think I'll be all set. I installed a leveling kit, well Bilstein 6112's on the highest setting on the front, and 5100's on the rear. I also got some Cooper 285/75/17's which are about 34". My truck is not the FX4, so no skid plates, but based on all the video's I think I'm set.
  3. Canyonlands white rim trail

So here is the deal with reservations, I talked to a lady ranger out there and they call daily to confirm reservations 2 weeks ahead, it seems like some people's plan changes, like 25%, so if you look two weeks before you want to go, i think there is a good chance that there may be a opening...
  4. More build and price weirdness

It was $995, so it went up $200.
  5. Canyonlands white rim trail

Great article, installed some new shocks today and have settled on 33.5" tires. Should be fine based on the results of those old timers.
  6. Canyonlands white rim trail

I have reservations, so that is set. Good to know on the van, kinda supports what I have been reading.
  7. Canyonlands white rim trail

After reserving a BD Bronco and watching all the off-roading, decided to plan a trip out to Moab to do the white rim trail. I've looked at it from the observation points 3 times and always wanted to be down there in the canyons. anyway, Bronco will not be available by Oct., and I could rent a...
  8. Chainsaw recommendations

Whatever model they call the "farm boss" It's usually the best value of the line. May be a Ms290 or 270 nowadays. Worth it over the long run. mine is 10 years old, only broke the handle once and have cleared 10 acres of dense forest and burn wood in the winter.
  9. BIG BEND (sas and mid) vs BLACK DIAMOND (mid only)

For anecdotal reference, I swapped P rated tires (passenger) to LT on a 2002 trailblazer and the mileage easily dropped 3 mpg across the board. 20 to 17/16 easily.
  10. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

Reading this thread, I'm glad about a couple things. 1. The engines are not new, should be good supply chain and there is known reliability. 2. The platform is similar to the ranger, so that should be ready to go and proven. 3. The electronics are not too crazy (like a new EV) except for...
  11. Everybody PLEASE Be Calm. This is only the beginning.

I was a v8 sycophant prior to buying my 2019 F-150 with either the 2. 7 or 3.5. I chose the 2.7 because it was more than enough and actually much better than the chevy 327, 5.3 liter it replaced, and I get 23-24 mpg consistently. need to move on past the whole v8 thing. Although i do have a...
  12. Marine grade vinyl

I'm getting the black diamond with vinyl, we could swap, I dont mind leather.
  13. Recommend a trim level for heavy snow, mileage and driving in sand

I watched the english guy designer and he is looking at the black diamond, which was my reservation so nice confirmation of my choice. I'm currently deciding between manual 2.3 and the auto/2.7/sasquatch but don't have to decide for a while. I may just do the manual and go with the optional...
  14. Limited Manual Options?!

You know I was a bit disappointed as well, would order the 2.7 with the MT in a 2 door as well, but after consideration, the 2.3 will be fine. I had the same thoughts when buying my 2019 F-150, and I decided on the 2.7 over the 3.5, there was plenty of power, which really surprised me. And I...
  15. Bronco Reservations Tracking List & Stats [Enter Yours!]

I reserved the same. Just to get the manual trans. The base 2 Dr. BD is right around 37 as you know, I'm thinking since it is only wheels, tires, and the locking diffs., $2995?
