Wild guess - Ford uploads the configurater Dec. 1, and people are required to start ordering a week later. Then, due to the small window the configurator completely crashes due the mad rush. A shitshow ensues that, with a little foresight on Ford's part, could have been avoided.
Probably a dumb question, but does the back window open if the door is shut, or does the door have to be opened first to raise the window? From pics, it looks like the window wouldn't be able to clear the tire on the back door in order to raise up.
Go back and read. I didn't say it had to be an absolutely "precise" order, and neither did Ford. Just generally following the overall order of reservations. Reservations on July 13 would be I suspect produced before reservations from July 26, but a July 14 reservation might be first for...
THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE SEQUENTIAL RESERVATION NUMBERS! The reservations can be time stamped or whatever when received internally by Ford. If Ford wanted to they could have just said your reservation is confirmed without a number given to people at all.
Seriously, do you think Ford is so technologically stupid that they can't time stamp submitted reservations to have a sheet showing the precise order of submittals?
It's not impossible at all. You give people a week to get their orders in. After that, you lose your reservation and get your $100 back (or just get pushed to the very back of the line). Those (timely submitted) orders are then ordered based on reservation priority. Then, yes, you have some...
Well, that's completely inconsistent with Ford's FAQ.
"Will reservations be fulfilled in the order placed?
Reservations will be fulfilled in approximately the same order received, based on final ordering and production of similarly configured Broncos. All reservations will be completed before...
So, practically speaking, how do we really envision ordering being processed? Is it something like the first (in time) 'x' number of reservations get notified by their dealer (or Ford?) that they have 'y' (like 2) days to come into their dealer and place an order, after that and the reservation...
If you follow along on FB (Ford Bronco 2021 public group) you have a lot of people saying the reservation means absolutely nothing in terms of your order and delivery timing. That seems to conflict with Ford's FAQs.
Title to this article should be get ready to wait "24" months. Ouch.

Anyone considering a Badlands but with the 285/70/17 All-Terrain tires/wheels (as opposed ot Sasquatch). Unless one is a legit off-roader, I'm thinking the 35" "mud" tires will be noisy as hell and a nuisance in day-to-day around town driving (notwithstanding the cool "look"), and worse on the...
