  1. Oklahoma Gloss black powder coated Badlands take offs

They look great man. I'm looking to powder coat mine too...in fact, your pictures pushed me over the hump and I think I'm going to do it. The price you paid is STEEP! Do you think you overpaid or is that standard for your area?
  2. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

Yeah I dig that cargo rack too. I actually think the build quality on the rack I have is really good. No issues with that, so the company itself is good in my book. I'm glad that interior rack is working out.
  3. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

Yeah man totally get it. For me and my needs, I need the extra storage and the rooftop box won’t work with this half rack. It’s going back. Good luck with yours.
  4. Oklahoma Gloss black powder coated Badlands take offs

Hey man, do you happen to have any pictures of them still installed on the Bronco?
  5. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

Oh one more thing. After all the threads I have read, I still don’t fully understand why the stock one isn’t offered on my 2.7 Badlands. So unless I read something that makes sense to me, I’m going with the stock one. Thoughts?
  6. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

Hey man. Thanks for helping me through the process. I sent an email to Hooke initiating a return. I put my cargo box up there and it looked weird and unsafe…as far back as it was. The only thing that I think would work is a cargo bag and that doesn’t suit my needs. My only hope now is that the...
  7. Installed ZROADZ Steps / Sliders

Hello, I just wanted to update you all on some stellar customer service. I noticed VERY minor rust on the steps. See picture. It was right in the weld. At any rate, I sent Zroadz an email asking their advice on what to do. Instead of just asking me to paint over it, or whatever would be easy...
  8. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

I will totally own that I’m being somewhat difficult here but I don’t think I should have to alter a finished commercial product to make it work. That said, I think Hooke Road’s advice is kind of like what we were thinking - do something to the front to alter the airflow. Their recommendation to...
  9. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

So have you contacted Hooke Road about this? Before I going down the process of a return, I would like to see if I can figure out a way to defeat it. So if the hum goes away with the front panels off, I wonder if there is a way to deflect the wind before it gets to the rack? Also, what about if...
  10. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

So I can’t figure it out!! From 45-55mph, I get the vibration/hum and it’s really annoying. The only solution is staying out of that speed range or taking off the front roof panels. This actually a workable solution right now when it’s nice out but can’t imagine I can keep this up long term. Has...
  11. Eco mode isn't

I agree it’s marginal at best.
  12. Ultimate Badlands Non-Sasquatch pics thread

    No filter just the overcast.
  13. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

Update: So I’ve noticed some pretty significant noise coming from the top. It’s like a weird hum or vibration…something a kin to when you have just the back window down and you get that pressure sensation in the cabin. I haven’t had a chance to troubleshoot yet but wanted to update the thread...
  14. How are your full-length steps to live with?

I have the ZROADZ and they rock.
  15. How are your full-length steps to live with?

I doubt anyone as tall as you need them. Those of us who aren’t (or with kids who aren’t) will use them a lot. I also find them useful for putting stuff up top.
  16. Hooke Road Roof Rack - installed pics

I just bought and installed the Hooke Road (rear only) roof rack. I gotta say, it’s pretty solid. I haven’t packed it up with all my gear but given how sturdy it is, I don’t anticipate any problems.
  17. First day at the beach

Now I’m not a super skilled off-roader but I do get out there every now and again but in my experience, the goat modes are kind of gimmicky. 4hi, 4lo, and lockers is all I really need.
  18. Ultimate Badlands Non-Sasquatch pics thread

    I love this thread!
  19. First day at the beach

What GOAT mode did you try? I did a day at OBX and tried a few out in the sand…which ironically, sand mode was the worst one. I found 4hi to be the best personally. I also noticed quite a bit of weird pedal response and steering feedback in all modes…particularly in the softer sand. Any thoughts...
