So sometimes I take speed bumps with a little speed. I’m pretty sure I’m hitting them square, but feels like the rear end does a swing out to the right. Is that just normal due to the rear trac-bar?
It’s bad design if the lag I’m seeing is normal. The door handle is designed to be yanked. There are numerous handle design options that would promote slower door opening. Don’t care all that much, if it can stand the test of time, but I do have a window rattle on passenger door after two...
Anybody notice the window drop when opening the door has a lag. It was perfect before. I disconnected the battery at one point and had to reset the auto-windows. I don’t know if that’s when the change happened but there is definitely a lag now. And the rubber can pull on the window a little...
Finally posting my own Bronco on this thread. 285/75r16 BFG KO2s on stock steelies, stock base suspension. Balloon of tire is pretty much exactly even with standard flares.
Did a thing yesterday. I’ve been debating for awhile between going 285/75r16 and 265/75r16. In the end, I went “big”. Still have a zone level in the box. Not sure if I’ll use it. Maybe just half.
Best bet is to see if they’ll match price you could get on the mainland plus shipping back here. So $1500 over mainland price. If I had to do it again I’d buy on mainland and make a cool trip of it.
Time to get hitched! Had the Curt hitch and harness laying around. Just the hitch for now. It can be installed without bumper removal, but the bolts are a little long and a couple just barely pushing up against the bumper, so off it went. Simple three bolts each side and unclip the harness...
Any response from Curt? I’m still a ways out from this project. Will probably run just the hitch for awhile, as I have no toys with lights yet. Swapping the pins per @VoltageDrop seems easy enough though.
I want to mount the module inside near the rear cargo power source. Not sure how...
Took on some sand this morning! I was pretty hesitant. This sand is much softer and deeper than this pic makes it look. Took awhile to take the 1st plunge. Anyway, I got to test out the stall assist and the shift from 4H to 4L. Bronco did well, driver needs some work. Next step….Tires!🏝
Summoned up my best fabricating skills to make a front license plate mount.
Used the uninstalled OEM mount and fabbed up a simple bracket. Don’t have my plates yet so we’ll see if I run this spot or the low center option.
One of my 1st mods, or work arounds. Took me 20 minutes to figure out how to leave my Bronco alone to go surfing. Worse than a puppy! 🤷🏽‍♂️
IYKYK!
Yeah should’ve got the keypad. that was the plan till dealer wants to charge $100 to program. Have a hard time accepting that.
Should’ve ordered initally but didn’t like location and didn’t want to remove and relocate it.
