I just checked ebay: they go for $30-40, both used and new. You could get some money for Bronco accessories, there.
Ultimate nerd question: Do you have a slide rule tie bar--which works! (My late father-in-law had one). He did classified work with Raytheon. My wife, as a child, knew nothing...
I remember how the Excursion was derided when it came out. "Oh, Ford just wants to one-up GM's Suburban. Like we need another 8-10MPG monster on the road? Oh, horrors!" (they moaned.)
Well, there's a big shift in thinking on this. People either don't believe in, or don't care about, "global...
Going through boxes of old stuff while downsizing my "estate," I came across a very nice slide rule. My late father-in-law was an electrical engineer. Maybe I should eBay it.
My apologies if this is an offence to a good memory of yours, but that looks like an International Travelall with a blue oval.
BTW, I have my International memories: farm tractors in Vermont (when Vermont had more cows than Communnists), a 1962 (rebuilt) International Emoryville cabover on a...
Very handy in the PNW. I'll use that in the Acella Corridor.
Thanks for enlightening an old Boomer. Now where did I put my reading glasses? Oh, I'm using them.
Maybe the censers admins will allow, "Yeah...right..."
Is there a commonly recognized emoji for sarcasm?
:lipssealed:
I know a guy who discussed Bronco production stats, but his source was B*ei*b*rt and he got a "NO POLITICS! warning. I wonder if he had cited N*R or C** or (p)MSN*C, would they...
I'm in one of those cities where the law-abiding get locked up but the illegal and criminal elements* get no bail and hit the streets hours after being arrested.
*"illegal" and "criminal" are synonymous...but also different categories. Think about it.
I need to learn how to do that. Thanks for the heads-up.
For those of you who say, "nobody would bother me," do consider the violent jerks who are out in the news so much. For that matter, I carry just about every time I go out.
We've been getting symmetrical, even-all-around plantation trees for a few decades now. I'm old enough to remember that even commercial trees were irregular--as in natural--and you chose the best one you could, figuring, "Okay, that part is kind of crummy, but we can face that against the...
I bought the package deal from ThorsLightning air pump + system. The hoses and accessories came in a tidy round bag (it's square, now) which wedges nicely between the C-pillar strut and the window. I keep my hoses in there, tire repair, and other miscellaneous tire gear. Always with me, very handy.
We have had a negative balance of trade deficit since 1977. For decades generations people have said, "we ought to do something about that...someday." But never, "now." Cheap oil in the 1970s-90s, cheap goods from Asia since then, it was just so nice to get all that stuff...cheap.
It was...
You'll make the tourons' Land Rovers on the Serengeti look like mall crawlers.
I tended to dismiss this kind of thing, but I must say, it looks good and practical. More weight and wind resistance, alas. It would be especially handy for a roofbox.
Me? I'm cheap and old school. Standing on a tire...
