Right on, glad to hear you got it done and are thoroughly enjoying your new upgraded audio system! Maybe a 3 way setup would bring out a little more mid balance. I'd think with you DSP it could be further adjusted to your taste over time. Thanks for updating back! Enjoy!
Finally, some pics where someone mounted pod tweeters. Did you have any issue with this mounting location? Does it rattle at all with midrange beneath the grill, etc?
Audiofrog speakers plus external amp/DSP stil wasn't enough. Makes me think running 3 way from the start is probably the way to go here. Have you decided how you will mount your mid and tweeter?
Please let me know how this goes. After eyeballing every possible set of speakers on the market I am leaning towards Audison. High sensitivity, decent power handling, the 2-ways have a great concentric design, proper 3-way options, installer friendly mounting, and water resistant materials...
Totally agreed the kick panel doesn't seem ideal for handling midrange. Did you run some sort of crossover to seperate the kicks from your dash speakers? Can I also ask what your current speakers are? Those Focals would be unreal.
These are being sold...

Yes, please post some photos. I am also debating between 3 way or 2 way.
I don't really see the benefit of running 3 way with 2 seperate components flush mounted in the dash. May as well just use a concentric 4" 2 way driver like the audio control PNW. You can always run new wire to bypass the...
This looks awesome, nicely done getting this all installed! I am strongly considering going with the musway M5 kit, to run a set of components actively up front, and let the rear full run off radio power. If my budget was larger I'd do exactly what you did and go multi-amp. I also really like...
Glad I asked! Very good point about the tweeters having such a high crossover, I didn't catch that. Even if I picked another pair of tweets it's hard to say how high those factory kick panel speakers can be crossed. Plus would need to go active. So probably best as you said from the start to...
This seems to be a common misconception in car audio, but just because a speaker is larger doesn't mean it NEEDS more power. It's actually quite the opposite. Take your infinity reference 4" vs 6.5" for example. The higher sensitivity of the 6.5" would actually let it play louder off the ACM...
Hi, thanks for your input. I am leaning towards a woofer/tweeter front stage, rather than this strange dual coax combo so many people seem to be doing. Rather than buying a set of components for the front stage, do you think I could just swap the dash speakers for tweeters that have in-line...
