  2. Ford Bronco Pickup Truck Rumor Surfaces Again

Should have been http://fordauthority.com/2019/08/we're-starting-the-ford-bronco-truck-rumor-again Yep. Their traffic count went down, so time to throw in a little spice.
  3. Ford Creating Families Around Mustang, Bronco

The AWD addition to the system is no compromise on the dual-range transfer case and is no detriment to the rest of the system if you don't engage it. It extends capability, rather than restricts it. It's a feature you don't have to use if you don't like it - like those pesky seatbelts...
  4. Ford looking for Broncos for Woodward

And add to that, Bronco isn't a refresh or an evolutionary product - it is a ground-up totally new creation. I'd bet the timelines aren't all that dissimilar from other manufacturers designing and producing an entirely new vehicle.

Make Twin I-Beam Great Again! "MTIBGA"
  6. Ford looking for Broncos for Woodward

A six-month "delay" (from an unspecified availability date) killed it for you? That's not a lot of committment to begin with.
  7. Ford Creating Families Around Mustang, Bronco

Ack, I made the mistake of assuming the audience here would know that a Raptor has 4x4 and the AWD operation is in addition to that. Guess I'll never make it as an automotive journalist either. I believe the AWD mode is enabled with a wet clutch in the transfer case. Instead of engaging the...
  8. Ford Creating Families Around Mustang, Bronco

In their defense, the Raptor has had an AWD-like mode for some time. With some luck, Bronco will get a very versatile system.
  9. Ford Creating Families Around Mustang, Bronco

"The design has been finalized. The Bronco, which shares underpinnings with the For Ranger midsize pickup, will be offered with a choice of two or four doors, and rear- or all-wheel drive." I don't recall seeing that before - the offering of a 2WD model. I think there were previously some...
  10. New full size Bronco spy pics / info???

What you might have missed from the clip is that it's going to be a RAPTOR FSB too!!! Clearly written below where the removable top usually goes!!!
  11. New full size Bronco spy pics / info???

Yep! Looks like it's official! Full-size fans rejoice! Prepare your checks for order day! Looks like an independent front susension, though. And definitely a V8!!!
  12. Car and Driver rendering

It would be nice to have a modest ABS flare from the factory, maybe 3/4" like the fairly low-profile cladding common on some trucks. Make it user-replaceable and have Ford Motorsport offer several different incrementally larger size flares for tire size expansion.
  13. Car and Driver rendering

You won't get any argument from me, but I can do without the rear doors. Alas, Ford has promised a "bold new look", so I think we can rule out a line-by-line throwback. Hopefully it will come through with tasteful design cues from its legacy, and add some modern flair. I find the Jeep to be...
  14. Car and Driver rendering

The blistered and plastic-flared fenders make it 99% FJ to me. And that's too much Toyota in my Bronco, thanks.
  15. Car and Driver rendering

That doesn't look like a removable-panel top. And didn't the info from the dealer's meeting indicate it said "BRONCO" on the grille? Not sure those doors are going to stow easily, but we don't know if that patent item - or removable top panels - will be applied to the Bronco. I'm not loving...
  16. Everyday I Wake up Conflicted

I'm a "whatever works" guy. If company X is making the best one when I'm looking, that's what I'll be buying so long as it delivers good value for the money. If a brand worked well in the past for me, I'll likely give that company a little more consideration in my next purchase unless I learn...

There hasn't been much in the way of "talk", let alone "big talk".
  18. Everyday I Wake up Conflicted

My boss had Ram do that with his 3500 pickup. Apparently, their tolerance range is quite large.
  19. Everyday I Wake up Conflicted

https://www.deseretnews.com/article/700149469/Lawsuit-says-GM-failed-to-fix-thousands-of-Impalas.html It's not the failures so much as it is the way they duck out of responsibility. My neighbor was going through rear tires like crazy - we had a fix on our police package vehicles that didn't...
  20. Everyday I Wake up Conflicted

Stopped buying GM after the bailout, and how they shirked responsibility for pre-bailout cars by saying they were a different company now - "new GM".
