I wonder how the sales figures of Gladiator compare to Wrangler... it has sort of created it's own market, but I'm not certain how "deep" that market is. Sure, Jeep fans are frothing at the mouth over it - as they do about anything new from Jeep - but I don't know if Gladiator sales are...
Ummm... NONE of today's trucks resemble their ancestors from 30-40 years ago. There are advances in materials, engineering, and technology; in addition, there are exponentially more stringent regulations regarding fuel economy, emissions, and safey/occupant protection. Consumers are demanding...
I'm sure Dearborn has an ample array of those for testing. Moab is a shot at Jeep, but that thing doesn't look like much of a threat.
At least the full-scale public roadshow has started, things are moving along...
Customization seems to be on the wane in the auto industry. My guess is they want to pork up the end product with option markups, and streamline the production work and schedule with similar/same tasks.

Ford's new capable off-roader will be too small for...
All I'm saying is that if off-road capability is one's fourth priority, there is a vast array of vehicles that more appropriately fit the needs of the situation. I actually don't have a problem with all the Rubicons at the mall, they'll be pristine organ donors later in life. If one's criteria...
I simply cannot understand people who begrudge others of choices. There are plenty of people who believe we shouldn't have the choice to use a plastic straw, own a fossil-fueled vehicle, or be allowed to drive off-road.
