  1. Ford patents removable top for (Bronco?) pickup aimed at Gladiator

I wonder how the sales figures of Gladiator compare to Wrangler... it has sort of created it's own market, but I'm not certain how "deep" that market is. Sure, Jeep fans are frothing at the mouth over it - as they do about anything new from Jeep - but I don't know if Gladiator sales are...
  2. Give us a real Bronco

Probably as many times as new members come and post before reading any of the history on the subject.
  3. Give us a real Bronco

Ummm... NONE of today's trucks resemble their ancestors from 30-40 years ago. There are advances in materials, engineering, and technology; in addition, there are exponentially more stringent regulations regarding fuel economy, emissions, and safey/occupant protection. Consumers are demanding...
  4. Patent shows possible toolless removable doors for 2021 Bronco

Exactly. There should be no difference IF it is engineered properly.
  5. 4 door Bronco

I'm expecting it. But if they don't, my '71 is sure going to be nice with the ~$50k I save.
  6. Babys Inavade Moab Utah

I'm sure Dearborn has an ample array of those for testing. Moab is a shot at Jeep, but that thing doesn't look like much of a threat. At least the full-scale public roadshow has started, things are moving along...
  7. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

Customization seems to be on the wane in the auto industry. My guess is they want to pork up the end product with option markups, and streamline the production work and schedule with similar/same tasks. When a desired option is only available with a mandatory collection of unwanted luxuries...
  8. Spied: Nude "Small Rugged Off Road Utility" aka Bronco Maverick?

There's no reason why it would have to move up with the gate. No matter the gate configuration, swing the tire to the side first. Zero change to the way it was done in the early Broncos.
  9. Spied: Nude "Small Rugged Off Road Utility" aka Bronco Maverick?

(Almost) any way they do it, the tire has to swing away, no? Could be done with any configuration.
  10. Spied: Nude "Small Rugged Off Road Utility" aka Bronco Maverick?

Looks like they went with a traditional liftgate. Makes sense on that vehicle, but I hope it doesn't get duplicated on the BroncoBronco.
  11. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

Yep. And now we're disparaging: 1. Overweight people 2. People with red hair 3. People with facial hair 4. People with alternative speech patterns Thanks for joining in!
  12. Bronco reveal at SEMA 2019?

    Now that's awesome!
  13. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

I think people are getting hung up on ambiguous size classifications. Clearly, there are vehicles that are too large for some, yet the same vehicle may be too small for another. Whether it's called a mid-size or a full-size is irrelevant. Ford's new capable off-roader will be too small for...
  14. Dream World, if it were up to you what exactly would the new Bronco be?

That ship sailed a long time ago in my opinion.
  15. 2020-2021 Ford Bronco Four-Door Concept Rendering

There's a Raptor version coming? I missed that Ford press release!
  16. 4 door Bronco

Yeah, you can call it that. I like to use a capable 4x4 for stuff like... well, using the 4x4.
  17. 4 door Bronco

All I'm saying is that if off-road capability is one's fourth priority, there is a vast array of vehicles that more appropriately fit the needs of the situation. I actually don't have a problem with all the Rubicons at the mall, they'll be pristine organ donors later in life. If one's criteria...
  18. 4 door Bronco

    = poser.
  19. 4 door Bronco

I simply cannot understand people who begrudge others of choices. There are plenty of people who believe we shouldn't have the choice to use a plastic straw, own a fossil-fueled vehicle, or be allowed to drive off-road.
