Well this is a first...
I've been running without a muffler for a few days while fabricating a new muffler delete pipe. I noticed last night that the light on my tag seemed a bit uneven - come to find out that it was basically hanging by the harness. Seems that the heat from the exhaust...
I've been running JB4 Map 3 with the procal and seems ok for the past 2000 miles...
I did the hot and cold pipes before uograding the intercooler - definately could tell that there was a bit higher airflow / the turbo did spool up a bit faster. It does keep everything slightly cooler now with...
@Mitch Panda Motorworks - Can you please help us understand why you recommend .026 gap with the NGK 6510 plugs vs other shops that recommend .028 gap for modded ecoboost motors?
I saw your post asking Panda about the .026 vs .028 - it was strange that they didn't answer...
2.3 MT with: K&N CAI, K&N hot and cold side pipes, CPE intercooler, muffler delete, Pedal Commander, Ford Procal, and JB4.
You may be right about the .028 gap - maybe someone else or Panda can...
23k miles - stock plugs. Lots of mods. Running at 25 psi peak boost for the past couple of months. Switched these out today for the NGK 6510. I had noticed a slightly higher idle lately after pushing the engine pretty hard with the stock plugs in terms of idling at high 800s low 900s so maybe...
Thats crazy! I know of someone who has used Procal in Europe...I wonder if they did this by tricking the computer somehow into thinking it was a USA based VIN...I will see if I can find out for you.
[on my 2.3 MT] With the Procal and downpipes alone I was seeing seeing 22.1 max PSI in 3rd gear on the factory boost gauge. With the JB4 I am seeing about the same on the factory gauge but close to 25 PSI on the JB4 app gauge. It is my understanding the the factory gauge doesn't see the...
I have a 2.3 MT (with aftermarket hot & cold pipes, intercooler / deactivated shutters, air intake, blow off valve, muffler delete) and run the Pedal Commander along with Ford Performance Tune and JB4 (map 3) all together. I've never had an issue with the setup with all three running at the same...
If you are buying the vehicle while in possession, they will not need to see / inspect the vehicle. It could be sitting in the bottom of a lake for all they care - they just want to be made whole and the title and vehicle are all yours to continue doing as you please.
It's a good idea - I've been looking into it, but the straps aren't very slightly and the other methods of securing it don't seem as strong...may order one to see how it works but a waterproof box or hard cover would be ideal...
I'm now running 3 computer related performance enhancements at the same time:
Ford Procal: Helps with a bit of boost and rev matching for the manual transmission.
Pedal commander: Helps majorly with accelaration or conversely, in peddle commander eco mode ok the highway I'm seeing 25mpg...
No zippers on the Bronco so less of a point of failure. Just hit 22,222.22 miles a never so much as a spec of water or dust and this includes driving through hurricane force rain / wind in the south and dust storms in the desert.
The only small point of failure is the velcro on top of the side...
Ahhhh - you went to Canada for the tune?
Did you have any issues running the JB4 with the Procal? Would you have stayed with that combo it if not for the IDA tune?
