Well.... I got stuck by my first downpour with my front panels off. I have Badlands with MGV and wash-down floors and wondered how water-resistant it all was.
We've had a lot of rain in Houston and it was supposedly all over for a week or two with hot sunny days ahead and I drove to work...
I think it depends a lot on how the front brackets are secured - if resting on the brackets and relying on the shear value of the bolts alone, it could be problematic, but if it's engaged with the bracket laterally and you get good clamping force against those brackets, it should be ok.
Our local Offroading school is selling these....

Mine came without one - I didn't get to place the order, picked up someone else's delivery. They told me for Badlands with wash-out floors it isn't standard and has to be added since many folks want less carpet (but somehow they still put carpet on the back of the folding seats -- grrrr). I...
The other thread on this is closed for replies - but if anyone has a 3d printer, they can print their own. If they don't hold up you can always print more....

Technically, the Baofang radios aren't legal to use on FRS/GMRS (other than the specific GMRS-only models they have) and you aren't supposed to use custom antennas on those channels. But, people do. I'm licensed for GMRS - but that doesn't give you the right to use those radios - without the...
Why do you think so? Roof racks are designed specifically to support static weight and upward forces from windage as well as the moment loads from unequal balancing everywhere in between. A simple kayak has a significant upward force. Otherwise, why tie it down?
I've also wondered if they...
It's quite clever and unique - a bit of an Easter egg. If you like it, go for it. I prefer the Bronco emblem on my own but I like seeing stuff like this on others. That's the beautiful thing about customizations.
With two bars in the back, Mabett needs to make a side bracket to hang Rotopax and such from - they could clamp on to both crossbars and hang over the side. Should be really simple.
There needs to be a solution for side racks with OEM racks. THis would be a really good way to do that - buy...
not sure I'm a fan. I do like a little trim cleanup but that could be much more minimal (and cheaper). Other than that aesthetic, it's not much different than having no doors.
To each his own, I guess.
I still very much wish for one for the front panels only. Something easy to pop up in the parking lot - even a lightweight stretchy material that could be wadded up in glove box. Just to keep sun off seats and dash - if it could be used while under way if sun starts to scorch too much even better.
You'd be pretty close to the design weight - I prefer a bit of a margin of safety - purchase might not be great for such a small line either and could be difficult to use (might just need gloves, though). But my biggest concern would be using round hooks instead of flat hooks. Point load...
