I did the same thing…. Went out and test drove a rubicon last New Year’s Day, had my custom ordered rubicon in my drive way in March 2021, all thanks to the ford bronco launch failure lol

But you could argue that buying direct from ford would cost less to begin with, similar to what the vehicles cost the dealers to purchase. It would cut out the middle man (dealer) - each party has to make money

in my experience, running boards are the best defense against rock chips on the side of your vehicle. They work better than mud flaps/flares.
