Thank you. Noted. No fun without a little risk 😉
We’re in Avon this trip. Plan to hit most the access points there and south.
I have no idea what the rest of my family is planning on doing this trip. 😂
Last trip (above) we stayed in Nags Head. Did all the typical North OBX stuff. Corolla...
Been watching the tropic reports all week. Should start clearing to a beautiful week starting tomorrow. I think it rained there most this week.
We’re packed and ready to go! 😃
Random buy at the local feed/hardware store. I took the label off and don’t see any branding. I’ll check next time I’m in, which is at least weekly
The rear is 41”W +/- max at the elevation I have it. Measured trim to trim at the roll bar.
Nah, I didn’t secure it. (Lock wise) Didn’t see the need. Could easily be done through the box & tie downs though. Short steel cable and lock. 🤙
I have the 2 drawer version too. Same height, deeper drawer. These measure out 22”W +\- so you can’t get them side by side without modifying...
It was! That’s awesome! 😆 Nice other Bronco! 🤙🏻 I pointed it out to my wife as we passed. We’ll have to get a few of us on the forum together for pine run.
and just for S&G, my ‘72 that I sold in 2002 (still hurts to think about) It was not OE. 😂 There’s more fiberglass then metal there. Hood. Tailgate. Fender Flares. Which is why the ‘69 is that more rare. Not many untouched today.
’22 Badlands
Or ones that needed at least some type of restoration work. I can’t imagine there’s many of these left that are straight out of the catalog and documented from order, build, to purchase to date.
I’ve seen this at local shows before. And have absolutely loved it. The owner is a forum member...
Popped in a local car show and parked next to an all original, uncut ’69 w/ <7kmi (was nice to meet you; beautiful Bronco) 🤙🏻
next to my ‘22 w/ >7k mi.
thanks @jehines3 🤙🏻
Even in the 80s the off-road magazines only featured either desert or rocks. Meanwhile here I am stuck in 3 feet of stinky marsh mud. 😂
it’s been fun traveling and learning new terrain and techniques
Ended up not having any issues/conflicts with my lift and the Bimini. Pretty straight forward. Although I wasn’t sure where the front is intended to fold. Where I have it shown, or a bit more forward.
Do you plan to off-road, camp, or go to the beach regularly?
if yes, then get a BL with/ MGV and rubber floors.
(Adding leather to the badlands takes away the rubber floors and adds carpet. FYI)
if you want leather later you can get more options and better pricing then OE from...
@shawn6107 Appreciate it. I’ll take a look through their cut sheet. 👍🏻 Looks good
Been thinking about a bull/brush guard too. Either fab on from scratch or modify one for the Mod bumper. Drill and tap the bumper.
