  1. Likely no pricing until late October and a good portion of the dealerships aren't apparent Granger Ford quality....Just a Hunch...

All dealerships are playing games. They are local entities that are for profit. Even Granger and the place in WV. They might be able to promise a deal, but they have to make money somehow. I still don't believe Ford is going to allocate builds purely on reservation number alone. So Maybe a...
  2. Will Ford surprise us with Cheaper pricing??

Seems pretty unlikely. They have already said deliveries will push into ā€˜22, so if their factory is scheduled to be at full capacity, why would they lower prices to drive incremental sales that they couldn’t fulfill anyway?
  3. Performing engine break in period (breaking in) during long delivery roadtrip?

I’m not going to get much break-in on the 2.5 mile drive home from my local dealership.
  4. Why go 4-door unless you have to?

I don’t think you can go wrong either way. I’m getting the 4 door just for the little extra practicality because my wife has a small car.
  5. Why buy a Badlands or Wildtrack if the Raptor Warthog is coming out

Because who knows when (or even) if a Raptor Warthog is coming out. Companies file patents that never make it into products and register trademarks that never get used. The cost of doing both is pretty minimal, and the carrying cost of an unused patent or TM is zero. So based on Ford...
  6. Acceptable odometer reading (can dealers test drive orders before customer pickup) ?

I got a '97 Mustang GT new from the factory back in the day, and if I remember correctly, it had 4 whole miles on it when I picked it up. I'd expect something similar for my Bronco.
  7. Waiting to make dealer switch

I'm really hesitant to do anything like that. You end up having to spend a bunch of money to travel, and I'm not sure Ford is being particularly honest about how the Broncos are going to be distributed. Ford does NOT have a direct to consumer model like Tesla. Them going in reservation order...
  8. Would you feel bad if a bigger Bronco model was added later?

HAHAHAHA, I was making a joke but had no idea that anything like it might exist!
  9. What are you cross-shopping the Bronco against?

4 door badlands, 2.3L, MT, lux, modular hard top vs 2014 Ford Escape Platinum. If the Bronco wasn’t coming out, I’d be sticking with my current Escape for at least several more years. I was lusting after the Bronco even before it was even announced based on rumor and innuendo. I just...
  10. Would you feel bad if a bigger Bronco model was added later?

Oh heck no. That would be way too small. They really should make a 6 door, 4 row, 42ā€ tires, 700 hp v16 with 1000 lbs feet of torque. I’m sure that would satisfy everyone complaining about only 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Oh wait, then people would complain a v20 isn’t offered ;)
  11. Delivery Reality

I honestly think this is more of an impact than most people think. Ford isn't Tesla; Ford doesn't deal direct to consumers. It goes through dealerships, and it has to keep dealerships content too. There is going to be some production algorithm that balances production batches, reservation...
  12. What do all of us future Bronco owners do for a living?

Senior project manager for a semiconductor company. On of our subs is the brains behind the driver assist and safety technology :). Wife is an attorney.
  13. Anyone getting a Non-Sasquatched Badlands?

MT for me, so no Sasquatch. I’m sure the regular badlands is more than capable for anything I’m going to do. I love car tech so definitely getting the lux package. If Ford does end up making Sasquatch available with the MT, I might consider it, but I’d probably rather spend the money on a...
  14. Why are you choosing 2 or 4 door Bronco? Which will have better resale value?

You can rationalize anything. Just pick the one you like better. This vehicle is so cool there is not wrong answer
  15. Second Thoughts on Manual Transmission

There is no right answer. If you want a manual, get the manual I had a ā€˜97 Mustang GT with a 5 speed MT. Had to have the bearing replaced at ~10k (warranty covered) and the clutch at 95k. It’s just something you’ll have to do eventually.
  16. Arizona Ford dealer

I'm in Arizona as well and currently have my reservation through Earnhardt. My current vehicle (2014 Escape) was purchased there. I get periodic emails from them, but its mostly pretty generic stuff. I'm sure the Bronco related communication will ramp up once Build and Price goes live and...
  17. Manual or the 2.7

I had a 1997 Ford Mustang GT for 16 years with a manual transmission and just loved driving that car, even for the two years I was commuting in Los Angeles traffic. When it became necessary to replace it, I needed something with a bit more practicality so went with a small SUV. There were...
  18. The Dog Thread 🐾

This is Houndwick. He’s a half Boston terrier/half beagle. He’s an old man of 12 now, but he loves being outside and is going to love off-roading in HIS new Badlands with the wind in his fur
  19. 7 speed manual ONLY with the 2.3?!

I’ve got a 4 door badlands reserved, and I plan to get the 2.3 with manual. It would be nice to have both engine options, but I don’t NEED the 6 cylinder. Manuals are such a dying breed that I’m glad they are offering one at all. To me having the manual is more important than the more...
  20. Arizona roll call!

Hello everyone, new member here and can’t wait for my bronco. I’m Thomas, Tempe. 4 door badlands, manual, 2.3, lux, hard top, Area 51! Looking forward to getting off-road!
