  1. Stealthbox for Bronco

The one thing that soured the B&O route for me was the reports of all the rattling coming from the enclosure. My assumption is that JL is going to take this into consideration with their design as well. I'm just curious if they're going to build something that will 'hide' underneath the trunk...
  2. Any pics of an OBX non sas with Black Diamond steelies and tires?

Same boat here - I have the steelies in my garage; going to buy tires at some point. Going from the stock OBX tire size to Black Diamond tires will cause some difference in the speedometer. I'm actually going to use 275/70/17 as the difference is minimal. I've scoured the web for images as...
  3. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

I'm with you - I've never fiddled this much with a car's stereo. It's fun and maddening at the same time. The one thing I've noticed above everything else is that things tend to sound really good and full when you're stopped. As soon as you start to move, the sound tends to thin out due to...
  4. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

What's your high-pass crossover set to on the amp? That will make a big difference in terms of your low-end. You may also look into some beefier kick panel speakers. I struggled mightily with the DSP as well. Like you've noticed, there are a lot of benefits, but also a lot of weirdness. I...
  5. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

Oh wow - yeah, it's a tight fit under the seat. I have the Kenwood KSC-SW11. Fit great, but they had to collapse the 'vent' under the seat to make it work. It sounds pretty good; gave me a little oomph but nothing serious. I am waiting patiently for the stealthbox - already have the amp...
  6. Lower budget tires?

Agree - Cooper or General are probably the lowest price but still high quality tires. You might be able to save a few bucks with Falken as well. Don't cheap out with no-name tires.
  7. TrailRax Modular Roof Rack For Your Bronco

Just want to say that the weekly email updates from @TrailRax are very appreciated. It's nice to stay informed on the overall process. Especially in a time when most companies' products are backordered or delayed, proactive outreach makes all the difference. Thank you! Looking forward to 10/15.
  8. Windshield chip crack woes

I think I paid 400 for mine in the Austin area, which I thought was fair. The place (Outside Rides in Bastrop) did a phenomenal job too. I suspect I'll be replacing it every 18 months or so (unless I catch a significant object and it tears/punctures the film). Maintenance is also very...
  9. Windshield chip crack woes

Went with Dynoflex and same as Murfman, it's saved me a bunch too. Happy to replace it every year/two years if it keeps my OEM windshield intact.
  10. Ford Performance Calibration Tune for 2.7L Bronco's AVAILABLE NOW! - Lethal Performance

Same question. I'm able to get 93 the vast majority of the time, but every once in a while on roadtrips, I find that 91 is the max. Is that ok to run every once in a while with this tune? Would that just drop the performance, or would it cause any issues?
  11. Texas 4 door rock rails

Just sent you a DM - thanks!
  12. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

I doubt the front speakers are wired in parallel. Otherwise, a whole bunch of us would be having these issues. Is it all the speakers that are having problems? Also, 150hz bass blockers are way too low a value for those little dash speakers. Remember that they don't actually block bass at...
  13. California New Hammerbuilt tailgate reinforcment

Just sent you a DM - thanks!
  14. 6.5 inch subs onto kick panel

You’ll need an amp for the 6.5s. They will sound cleaner but you will lose all of your low end without an aftermarket amp.
  15. K&N 2021+ Ford Bronco 2.3L Aircharger Performance Intake

Impressive numbers! Sounds great too. Does anyone know if K&N has addressed the plastic elbow issue that was seen in the vid and in other posts?
  16. Base Stereo Upgrade - Options

I think I paid 500 (labor, not parts) for my shop to install my Kicker Key and an under-seat sub. It seemed a little high, but there's no way in hell I'd have been able to cleanly install as well as they did.
  17. Base Stereo Upgrade - Options

From a sub/low-end perspective, it's probably a wash - the Hertz + JL amp may hit a tad harder/go lower, but I don't know if it will be noticeable given the wind noise you're going to get in the Bronco at speed. The biggest difference is going to be the detail you're going to hear, primarily in...
