  1. Change Driveline Fluids Early!

Changed the front differential fluid today and the transfer case fluid. 26000 miles. Went with Mercon LV in the transfer case and Valvoline 75W140 in the front differential. Still deciding on a possible aftermarket rear differential cover but that should be soon. Plus I’m still nervous about...
  2. Part time transfer case fluid change -- assistance needed

Washers came in today and I completed the fluid change in the transfer case. Thanks again Ducati1098 for the assistance. Some tips for others with the part time transfer case. 1) If you can change your own oil, then you can change the transfer case fluid. 2) Use a torque wrench. It feels like...

Day trip to the beach. Coquina Beach in Florida.
  4. Part time transfer case fluid change -- assistance needed

Those washers are not cheap. Currently $15 each retail, but able to get them $11 each from local dealer. Special order though. Still, do it yourself and do it right. Peace of mind. With my luck, I’d be the person that reused the washer and it leaked.
  5. Part time transfer case fluid change -- assistance needed

Thank you for the information. Follow up question. High temp thread sealant on the plug threads yes or no? (wasn’t expecting a sealing washer)
  6. Part time transfer case fluid change -- assistance needed

2023 Base, 26000 miles, ready to start changing out the driveline fluids. Decided to start with the transfer case because it's the easiest and I've done this before on my F-150. I've got the 1.3 quarts of Mercon LV ATF at the ready. But, all the videos and discussions I've been able to find...
  7. I too, need help naming my eruption green bronco!

Green Goddess. (also, my favorite dipping sauce at the Melting Pot restaurant)
  8. Rain Water Leaking from Front Passenger area near glovebox

If you are still under warranty, then take it back to the dealership for evaluation. I had something very similar in my 2023 base. It started after about 1 year of ownership. I decided I’d fix it myself even though still under warranty. Many frustrating attempts later I finally got it sealed. I...

  10. Oil Leak

Might be the left front shock. Mine went out and started leaking enough to put quarter sized spots on the driveway. Fixed under warranty.
  11. Use an extra qt of oil...

Back in the day…1979 Ford LTD 351 Windsor…I’d pour about a quart of kerosene through the crankcase after draining the oil. Let that flush through any gunk.
  12. Windshield shade recommendations

  13. Ford Escape, errr bronco SPORT (lower case bronco on purpose)

We own both. The 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands is my wife’s daily driver. She loves it! Thatā€˜s what matters to me…and the fact that I’d never buy the 1.5L models of the Bronco Sport.
  14. Ford transfer case skid installed on Base Bronco (with part numbers)

If you are referring to the Ford transfer case skid, then it should fit according to the Ruxer site. Scroll down for fitment compatibility. https://www.ruxerparts.com/oem-parts/ford-plate-mb3z7e063a
  15. First oil change (not an oil thread)

You say you’re not afraid of warranty issues on your Bronco. You will be. YOU…WILL…BE.
  16. Whirring/grinding noise in steering column when turning

Got the Bronco back today. Noise is gone. Covered under warranty as quoted. They also did an alignment, which makes sense. A few comments though. The good: invoice shows many new nuts, bolts, clips, and plugs were used. I was glad to see this and confirmed it by looking under the vehicle. The...
  17. Whirring/grinding noise in steering column when turning

Diagnosis by dealer technician indicates it’s the steering rack. Will be replaced under warranty.
  18. Whirring/grinding noise in steering column when turning

Yes, back in March 2024. Issue is recent (last couple of weeks). I do plan to take it in but wanted to check with the forum first to see if others have experienced this, get some possible causes so I don’t go in ā€œblindā€ to the dealer, and ultimately to post resolution to maybe help others in the...
  19. Whirring/grinding noise in steering column when turning

I do not. Using factory rubber mats with the snap in secure points. Noise seems much higher on the column than the floor too. Near where steering wheel is close to instrument cluster.
