Even though they typically only make noise for a few seconds during cold start, it does sound somewhat like a phaser issue to me also.
Really hard to tell from a video though.
The Enhanced exterior lighting calibration is what I was referring to (I just couldn't remember the name before looking it up)
Worth trying that.
There also appears to be something new in FDRS that I have never seen called the Headlamp upgrade. Certainty wont hurt trying both of those to see if...
There is no traditional fuse. It uses FETs built into the BCM.
Also 10A is likely too high, unless you're referring to 5A for each side, which may be on the borderline of what it can support.
Ford does not give a spec anywhere. This is all it says in the workshop manual:
Field Effect Transistor (FET) Protection
The BCM utilizes a Field Effect Transistor (FET) protective circuit strategy for many of its outputs, for example, lamp output circuits. Output loads (current level) are...
It's hard to say for sure, but since the noise that you're creating by twisting the shaft does it on every bronco, I would assume that isn't the noise you're hearing. Otherwise everyone would hear the same noise.
I'm super busy at work right now, but I will get that video of mine sometime...
Well spoiler alert, but there isn't one.
Bronco 2.7's don't have any known/common issues with wastegate rattle.
They have anti-rattle wave clips already installed, which some other models like F150's did not (there is a TSB for those).
So if yours is rattling, it's something that should be...
It’s probably better you didn’t. That gives them an easier way of claiming it was likely due to installation error because they have no way to verify it.
If you just bring it in the way it is now, and everything was done correctly, it’s a lot harder for them to claim it was your fault.
No, It wouldn’t be making that noise when the vehicle is moving.
It would be spinning smoothly. The only reason it’s making the noise is because you’re physically/manually moving it back and forth. It wouldn’t do that while actually driving.
Doesn’t matter who installed it, it still has a parts warranty.
It has to go to the dealership, that’s the only way. They have to handle the inspection and claim submission to Ford.
Normally you’ll need to pay diag labor, then once they have confirmed it’s a warrantable defect (not due to...
The more famous tactic is for dealers to just claim “oh Ford said so”
When in reality, it’s just a crap dealer that doesn’t want to help their customer with a concern.
The chances that Ford actually claimed a defect is now normal without documentation supporting it or saying why, is slim to...
Yes. Shocks are the same left to right.
That is the correct part number for a 4 door badlands (non Sasquatch)
And yes, that is just the shocks. Everything else will be swapped over.
That’s complete nonsense, and definitely not from Ford. It’s just your dealer making shit up.
The position of those lights don’t affect BLIS in any way possible.
Bring it to a different dealer.
Yeah this more than likely will not be covered under the CPO.
But if OP wants to supply me with the VIN and current mileage, I can check real fast.
Even if it says it’s covered, like others have mentioned, it looks like damage on the one panel which is an issue.
You should be able to do it with forscan, but it's completely unnecessary after just changing the fluid. The transmission is constantly learning, so it will adjust anything it needs to on the fly.
That's not necessarily true for every vehicle though. I do a ton of ESP work at my dealership. A lot of which is between 60-90K miles.
At the end of the day, it's basically a gamble whether it will pay off or not. But for how cheap you can get an ESP warranty to 100K miles or above, to me it was...
