Just an update - spent the weekend at the Texas Off-Roadeo and had a ton of fun. They also did not care about switching guests and didn't ask for any more money, just a new waiver signed for the new guest and that's it.

Yep, I don't think anyone is saying that they're equivalent costs.

The one thing I have learned from this whole ordeal is that the dealer system is broken and Tesla made the right call by going direct to consumers.

I would expect the Bronco to cost more simply because they know a lot of people with soft tops originally wanted hard/MIC tops, so there would be more demand than Jeep.

Also can't drive it when you're traveling, so why does it matter if you can pick it up or not?

Why do you think you're screwed? I ordered mine before you and don't even have a VIN or build date.

I think a turbo'd engine (higher compression) would stand to benefit from higher octane, so its not like you're throwing away the difference between 87 & 93.

Dealer said it would be higher because of freight and logistics to get it from production to them, they also said they likely won't be available till 2023 because they would be prioritizing the tops for vehicle orders before making them available to purchase.

Switched to soft top + conversion kit yesterday, will pick up a hard top down the line. Have had enough of this fiasco and want to put it behind me.

Just got off the phone w/ Shuan, much better experience working with him. Appreciate y'alls help finding him. No new news, but at least he reached out.

I think charge backs have a time limit, something like 90 days IIRC

There's nothing nefarious going on - I paid for 2 guests for each of the 2 days, I intend to bring 2 guests for each of the 2 days. In no way will I bring a 3rd person on either of the 2 days. I live 35 min from Horeshoe Bay, so worst case they get turned around on Sunday and go home.

I'm not sure it's cheating the system when they literally tell us that we can edit the guest information at any time.

Also, I have paid for 2 guests, but only 1 of them is switching (so 3 people in total.) Didn't want to mention the registered 2nd guest in the original post to avoid confusion :)

Signed up for this coming weekend in Texas. I paid for a guest, but it turns out they have a conflict on day 2, so I would like to bring someone else the 2nd day. Will they allow this?
