I had a factory trailer wiring and brake controller installed the first week of December. The first week of January I noticed a clicking sound from where the module for the trailer brake wiring is. Sounded like a relay. Then I got the below. Has anybody had this clicking from their module or...
Anybody looking to add aux switches that either did not get any from the factory or need more check out the Garmin PowerSwitch. I got my kit from Blaze Off-Road and they have a bracket that mounts the PowerSwitch and a ground bar to it. I also added the SDHQ battery terminal kit also available...
so based on this if the extrusion is 1" x 2" as an example the windshield mounts to the bottom (1" side), the wind deflector mounts to the front (2" side) and the light bar mounts to the top (1" side). @TrailRax is that correct?
Here is maybe a better picture. To me this picture shows the windshield mounts are on the bottom, the wind deflector is mounted to the front and nothing mounted to the back or top of the extrusion.
@TrailRax are you able to confirm if a light bar is mounted directly to the top of the extrusion?
I understand that but the extrusion has 4 mounting services, front, back, top and bottom. The windshield mounts are on the bottom, the wind deflector is mounted to the front and the light bar/LP4 mounts to the top. If you had the cut out wind deflector the mounts for an LP4 should not sit any...
The wind deflector mounts to the front of the extrusion and the light bar mounts to the top of the extrusion opposite of the windshield mounting brackets. This would mean you have the entire channel of the top of the extrusion available for t-nuts or carriage bolts. If you had the cut out wind...
This is the piece that I am talking about mounting to. I am still unclear why you feel there are only 2 mounting points. You would have the entire length of the top of the extrusion that could except t-nuts and bolts.
Not sure I am following. My understanding is the light bar attaches to the extrusion the runs the full length of the windshield and that the wind deflector attaches to. So if that is the case why wouldn't you be able to attach a single LP4 mount to that same extrusion? If all the lights are...
They are similar. I am looking to mount the LP4’s individually rather than as a link. I am just not sure with the LP4 mounts if I can point them down enough mounted to the top of extrusion. When I order my TRMR I may just pull my LP4 off my A pillar and test it.
I am curious if the stock LP4 bracket reversed would work. What is the width of the light bar cutout on the wind deflector? I know it will fit a 40” light bar but would like to know how many LP4 would fit in the opening.
I live in WA state and I have the triple light kit from @SPVPARTS. My kit is made up of @Baja Designs Squadron Pros with a pair of driving combo, wide cornering and amber SAE. The amber SAE I find works great in the rain and fog of WA state. Each pair is on its own switch so to remain street...
