I understood that as the Sasquatch is a 3" lift to fit the 35" tires and you add an additional 2" lift on top of that to fit the 37" tires for a total of 5" of lift. I don't know if that is true or not, but that's how I would interpret what he said.
The Badlands comes standard with F/R lockers and the position-sensitive Bilstein shocks. It also has a "unique Badlands suspension". Not sure what that entails, but it does include a sway bar disconnect.
While that makes sense, I do the opposite. I'll rarely let the tank get below the halfway mark for emergency purposes. Emergency planning experts say to always have enough fuel to get you at least 100 miles. In the event of an emergency evacuation (earthquake, hurricane, man-made disaster), you...
It's possible, since it's a shorter wheelbase, there is some type of hump underneath the seats that doesn't allow the seat cushions to fold down. In the 4 door there is a huge empty space underneath the seat cushions where they can fold into. I'm not sure if that space is there in the 2 door or not.
In the 2 door, the rear seats are between the rear wheel wells. In the 4 door the rear seats are in front of the rear wheel wells. That's why the 2 door has a narrower, 50/50 split, 2 seater.
Yes, but the factory tune adds something like 60lb-ft of torque to the 2.3. How much will it add to the 2.7 if it were made available? I'm guessing for legal reasons, they can't offer the MT with the 2.7 if a factory tune was made available or they can't offer the 2.7 factory tune. Based on the...
Hopeful thinking, but maybe Ford is anticipating offering a tune for the 2.7 that would exceed the capabilities of the MT?
Also note that the PDF states 600 Nm scalable to 800 Nm. It's possible Ford optioned for the base.
Put her on your lap?
My wife is 5". She already struggles getting into my WJ with 4" lift and 33" tires. I also have a mother-in-law that's even shorter and I have to give her a boost to get in. I'm worried about the Bronco with 2" lift and 37" tires.
Good catch. Appears it might be a reflection of the sideview mirror. I take that back. After further review, I haven't the slightest idea what that could be.
No 4.7 gearing in the stock Badlands with the automatic transmissions. Not sure if the Badlands has the high clearance suspension and fenders of the Sasquatch or not, but it does have the rest. I'm in the same boat. I would prefer to get my own tires unless I the dealer would allow me to order...
Darn all you people with rich spouses! I do have it on video that my wife gave me permission to have up to 5 mistresses. I guess there is still hope for me and my ultra Bronco dreams.
Anyone know any rich women in need of an older, out of shape, completely boring man-toy? I am house trained...
Personally, I felt the reveal was a huge letdown with all the hype Ford and and the online community were putting on it. It was just a long commercial. I was hoping for something with more substance.
The video was pre-recorded so they could have released the info LONG ago. Unless the videos...
Yes, but the Badlands is not the top trim based on price. That would be the Wildtrack at $6K over the Badlands.
I was going to get my wife a new minivan first, but who knows now.
