Go big or go bigger
If you're going with 40's and your trails lean more toward bouncing than Moab crawling, the 74Weld rack would be my recommendation.
Nah these were some shadetree builds, emphasis on shady LOL
I did attempt to put a pin in one of them to see if it would help, but the wheelbase was so long that it wouldn't turn, and when I tried to force it the pin just sheared in half. Pain in the ass trailers.
Just attempted to drill the lower shock mounts 2" higher on mine, and there was no way on earth my right angle drill or unibit was going to get that outside plate drilled. It appears that I'll have to buy a 13/16" drill and just go straight through from the inside plate. Did you take off the...
When I ordered mine I don't think they were even offering this option yet, my rack should've at least been in line for machining before these bushings.
Moving trailers around with a front tow hitch makes it infinitely easier to maneuver where you want it too. I have some water trailers with a pivoting front axle, and a front hitch is the only way possible to back them up without wanting to gnaw on the steering wheel in frustration.
This is what the Bronco Sport should've been...fun sized like a Jimny or Sami with a normal engine layout. I'd even be fine with an IFS/IRS setup on something little like that.
All of the upfitter switches control solid state relays under the hood.
Why would you waste a 30A circuit to trigger a winch relay? You could just as easily use the 10A on #6 to accomplish the same thing, and then you'd have a 30A circuit to directly power other accessories that draw less than...
A dog with no legs. I've learned that it doesn't matter what you call it, it's pointless. The damn thing won't come to you regardless of what you call it.
Man WTF I've been waiting on my 74Weld housing to be made for two months now. This is making me consider getting a refund and picking up this set instead, as they're obviously making these.
Fixed that for you
I bet some bondo to fill in those hideous things would make a world of difference in how it looks, or some oversized bushwhacker style fender flares to simply cover them up. Maybe they put that line there so you'd know where to cut the fender for bigger tires?
I never had one in the rear, I don't know if it's a 2dr thing or a 21 thing. The best part is no part LOL
I figure a rear bar wouldn't hurt flex all that much (and it could potentially help) with the way leverage works on a solid axle compared to IFS. Both solid axles and a-arms will drop a...
I've done plenty of real world evasive maneuvering with it, between dodging blowouts on the road, deer, and two guys losing control in front of me, nothing particularly of note as far as stability and safety goes. Some of it is due to the fact that I spent my whole life driving something with a...
It's still sitting in the garage gathering dust, and I don't foresee a situation where it'll ever go on again.
A little while after that post I put a LOD bumper/tire carrier on the back and loaded it down with probably an extra 400lbs or more of stuff, I'm squatting about 2" in the rear as a...
I knew the tie rods were going to be an issue before I ever saw a Bronco in person. Anyone that's bent a tie rod can take one look at them and see it. If that's the kind of tie rods that have to be used in order to "save" the rack, then the rack is absolutely not strong enough for 35's. I've...
If the hidden winch isn't using the bumper, but rather relying on a separate winch tray bolted on elsewhere (i.e. rough country hidden winch), then it won't have the same issues that this bracket is intended to fix. However, if you have a steel bumper and intend for it to be bashed against...
Love it! First gen Blazer/Jimmy is the best out of them all. I have a white 71 Jimmy on 35's that I really need to get operational again, it was my high school ride and took my wife on our first date with it.
I have that same exact set too, they're more important in a shop than transfer screws for sure.
Transfer screws are best suited for when you're trying to attach a big sheet or whatever to something and you can't get to the other side to drop a punch through. Used them a lot in aviation to make...
Oh god, it's like they took a 90lb meth addict with a mullet and turned him into a truck.
Not even gonna try to hope that the 4runner or Land Cruiser or anything else they make will escape this horrid design that started with the Tundra and infected the taco, Toyota might as well be dead to me.
