Im in MA and thinking the same thing. The dedicated winters are awesome, but $$$ and a set of 315/70/17s will take up serious space. I’ve thought about going to one of the 3 peaks mountain rates tires when the Goodyears wear out.
On a related note, how long will winter tires last if mileage is not an issue? At what point will dry rot start being a problem? I worry that I would not get enough miles in the winter and it wouldn’t be worth it.
Towing in a Bronco shouldn't be a factor, but why not offer several engine choices? 2.3L on the BB, 2.3/2.7 on mid tier BD/OBX, 2.7/5.0 on higher end BL/WT/HE, and supercharged 5.0 in the BRaptor.
Yes should be easy, keep it simple cable and pulleys with a crank handle that has a worm gear. This allows you to move the hardtop up and down slowly. Use some long straps to feed under the hardtop and back up to connect to the cable/pulley system. Mount the winch on one of those poles...
Dredging this thread up to add a data point. Yes, I went almost 10k on the original oil. No, my engine hasn’t exploded yet. The viscosity is a bit lower than I hoped so I’ll probably switch to 5k intervals now.
