Wrong venue for this Bronco. There were a dozen or so nicely restored/upgraded Gen 1&2 Broncos that brought better numbers. People go to Barrett Jackson to purchase vehicles that are rare and collectible versus one that is current. Hint: if you want to buy a really nice, low mileage luxury car...
Agree, it is a dealer issue. I have a local Ford dealer that has never returned my phone calls to make a service appointment. Called another Ford dealer and got right in with no issues. The problem facing many OEM dealers is lack of service personnel. Hard to get people to work in professions...
Sold my 2000 F150 Harley Davidson (11,000 miles) to purchase my 22 Badlands. It’s a daily driver and my vacation vehicle for in the mountains. Have been very happy with that decision. Getting 21.9 mpg combined. Good performance and very reliable.
Sorry for your situation. To answer your original question, it’s totaled. Yes the frame rail can be replaced but so must much of the rear suspension. Bottom line is it will never drive correctly or safely and the off roading capabilities can never again be trusted. Have them write you a check...
Early on I had a stress crack in my windshield. Nothing hit it. It just popped while driving down the highway. Dealer couldn’t explain why but Ford replaced it under warranty. Dealer did say that F150’s had been experiencing something similar. So my guess is stress crack from faulty glass.
Have driven from South Florida Treasure Coast to GA and NC Smokey Mountains getting 21 mpg so it wasn’t too bad. Like you, I drive on the top half of the tank so I did stop an extra time or two each way. But driving the Bronco in the mountains made it all worth the extra stops.
