No. Prefer the Bronco. The Defender might be in the picture if towing capacity is very important. Otherwise the Bronco is better off road and easier and cheaper to outfit. I am talking about the USA. Other countries will be different.

Right now this is an exciting new model. Soon enough it will be just another Ford out on the roads and they will be pretty common in two years. I would be more inclined to give a thumbs up if I saw one out in the boonies somewhere.

Yes it is a valid concern, but I have done that with a lot of vehicles and no big surprises so far. I assume the Bronco will drive a bit like a Ranger. It will be a shocking change from my Subaru, but after a few minutes it will be fine and I will be headed for the rough stuff.

You are right. Adding the sound deadening works until I add the 2.7 engine. Then no sound deadening, but still have the hard roof. I am also adding the LUX package too.

I will probably head down there just to have a look and get an impression of the vehicle. Mostly about how long and tall it feels and have a look at the interior spaces if possible. I really don't care about the Filson connection. Just want to see a Bronco in person.
