I'm aware of the mattress trick. Just looking for something more purpose built, similar to what dirty dog 4x4 used to offer. The sound dampening would be an added bonus.
Since Dirty Dog 4x4 basically ceases to exist, who is going to step up and offer an insulated headliner for soft top broncos? Seems like it would be an easy item for someone that already offers Bimini tops.
Seems like a void in the market with enough demand to justify someone else stepping up...
They would have to be able to prove that the modification somehow contributed to the issue.
With corrosion being the problem, i don't see how the two would correlate.
I let mine soak with penetrating oil for a while, took a trip around the block to warm it up, threw on some gloves, and did alot of wiggling it up and down. It was a fight, but it came off.
Leaking, corroded, or missing........ultimately it comes down to how hard the dealer wants to push and ford's approval, but at least there's a chance it could be replaced if only corrosion is present.
What makes the front so different that they arent susceptible to the same issue as the rears? Or have they only had enough documented issues with rear so far to issue a recall?
I had a problem free truck supported by a great dealership. Starting to regret my decision to trade it in, and I'm...
They must only hold new vehicles. When i picked up my used OB SAS a few weeks ago, the dealer didn't tell me about the camera and suspension recalls until after I signed all the other paperwork. No issues taking it home though.
This is going to be my plan this winter unless the aftermarket steps in first. I reached out to hothead headliners and they have a plan to make a soft top insulator, but no ETA when it will be available
Bump. If you contact me the same day you make an account, or aren't willing to at least take a picture with your screen name and the date beside the item, please don't waste either of our time.
I hate that selected goat mode settings aren't saved when you shut off the vehicle. I shouldn't have to select sport mode then switch from 4A to 2H every time I startup.
