Your rig looks good! Just did mine too! After letting them sit in the garage for a year, I finally got round to building on the non-SAS 2.7L Bronco! Right out of the box, they sit beautifully. Next will be the upper/lower rear trailing arms followed by some RCI/Foutz skids. Cheers.
Please don't take my comment as an endorsement for ADV. Regardless of anyone's personal feelings for ADVs business practices, that hood looks good on Pakman's rig! I'm aware of their hardtop issue. I really hope, for sake of the hard-working people who spent their money, that ADV...
I about to roll into Gosch Ford in Temecula to see if they are worth a darn. I bought my Bronco in Irvine but then moved to Temecula. Driver side rear window stopped working properly. fingers crossed!
Thanks for throwing this content out there! Interested to see the rest of the process and results. I've priced 100 different suspension set ups and portals look pretty good when all is said and done. Only question for me is, do they make sense on my 4dr daily driver?
Appreciate the effort. Not my cup-o-tea, but I'm sure some will like it. I need something 1/3 that height that I can mount BD Squadron/XL lights on. Wild Horses has a reasonably priced mount (of course for the "other" bumper) that I might purchase/modify.
So COOOOL! I've had an Eagle Talon, Mitsubishi Eclipse and Mitsubishi Starion that could hit 12s. It MUST be so fun to rip off the line in the Bronco. Can't wait to hear what it does when you port the turbos, add the injectors and upgrade the cooler! Well done.
Very cool! Can't wait to see more on this challenge/journey!
I love your comment about mounting things on the spare! So true...especially when the chances of a blowout are high. I just bought a Stinky Fab Reverse light bracket kit for that very reason. It mounts in the back of the spare...
There is an L bracket (link I posted)...DD's more universal design. If all it takes is to drill into the cable bumper, that's easy and I'm in. Seriously can't believe nobody has a specific mounting bracket for the capable bumper yet.
Can the end pieces be swapped out for a Capable Bumper version? Why doesn't anyone make a mount specific to the capable bumper? There's 5 mil options for the mod bumper and I'm trying really hard to recall ANY for the capable bumper. Nacho Offroad had a $350 option (they were VERY proud of...
Definitely mini style...maybe a little lower profile than what you have in your drawings. Hopefully there will be enough space to mount (4) 6" individual lights.
