Except FoMoCo has to keep its dealer network happy, after all the dealer is the direct customer of FoMoCo no the consumer.
Besides, remember the golden rule: "He who has the gold makes the rules".
I guess we need to tell all of "motor"sports to pull out their ICE engines then.
And it mean I can take my "engined" car past the "no motorized vehicles" sign on the bike path.
Plus as with any word the meanings depend on how far back you go in its use...
There is a risk in everything, but at time of ordering you and the dealer sign a document with an agreed upon price. This is a legal contract. If the dealer changes anything you can walk or pursue recourse to try and either get them to honor the contract or seek compensation for the broken...
I'm going Auto, I've been rowing my own gears in sporty cars for the last 15 years-ish. I'm ready for some "lazy" driving and I just don't find rowing my own gears in trucks all that fun. At least in a sporty car you can make real use of heel/toe down shifts etc. Also I'm not planning crazy...
Chances are Ford allowed more reservations than they planned to make knowing that people would back out for one reason or another. kinda like the airlines overselling seats on the plane.
I could be wrong but Based on the picture the keypad looks like one of the cheap stick on ones rather than the built in and direct wired ones. These are basically another fob, at least as far as the car computer is concerned, and is programed in a similar way.

I've been fence sitting since day 1. Still considering a 4runner, just wish it had more power and better MPG. Fully optioned a badlands or wildtrack put me in TRD Pro range with admittedly more paper capability. I don't know I'm in a wait an see position right now, several small glitchy...
This is usually because most states have some form of law that requires the dealership to charge everybody the same fee. Also, as a side note, most state statues I've read cap the amount at some number. Despite what some dealers have said I don't think I've seen any state that specifies what...
I think Albert once said that the $1000 +$300 off invoice would be honored if the customer was eligible for X-Plan (with PIN I presume) whether or not Ford offered X-Plan. Hopefully @Granger Ford can chime in and clarify or refute that.
