To anyone who has mounted their forward crossbar in both front and middle positions: do you notice a difference in wind noise on hwy? I'm thinking about getting the extra crossbar. (And yes, I know I could just move the middle one... I've gotta find some use for those Ford pts after all...)...
Interesting - sounds easy enough, if not a permanent fix. Any idea what causes the rattle? Like why it would be VERY present on one door and (so far) non-existent on the other?
Hi All,
Wondering if anyone has encountered this and found a solution. Video of the issue:
I have a '23 2-door Black Diamond. The passenger door window is loose and rattles audibly when the door is open (also sometimes when closed and partly rolled down, going over bumps). It's most...
I can't complain about my smaller screen... *certain* passengers simply don't need to know about how bad the fuel economy is, and that sidebar thing was one of the only memorable things about the 12" from when I test drove one.
Unfortunately that would involve a big dash panel replacement, as the vertical face is one big piece of plastic. Might not be that hard, but I doubt Ford is motivated to make it easy to DIY your way around the mid/high pkg...
Ideally I'd keep the swinggate as is, just have the glass retract into the tailgate like a normal power window/door. Could operate from the key. Same solution as other doors to making/breaking the door seal when closing/opening gate (ie, glass retracts a little bit). I'm guessing the reason they...
A rear window that opens without needing the swing gate to go first (or rolls down inside it). I realize the current design is a result of having a removable roof... but it could work just like the door windows. Frankly I'd get rid of the removable roof if I could - if you're going to copy a...
Likely not really what you're talking about, but the fordpass app does include a lock/unlock/remote-start function.
I do know what you mean though - wish I could just clone my key into my phone somehow, and not need to carry the key around.
Looking for a rack to carry 2-ish bikes, hitch mounted. Considering the Thule Apex XT Swing, for its straight-out-of-box swing-away functionality. Wondering if anyone has experience with this rack, especially on a Bronco? Haven't seen anyone using one on this forum, and reviews online are rather...
Just noticed today that my tailgate window aligns a lot closer on the left (driver) side than the right (passenger). Photos below.
Does anyone know if there is an adjustment procedure to set alignment of this window? I've looked through the service manual and can't find anything. I see the...
I'm an idiot - i must've forgotten about the standard depths for pins. Some vary a bit depending on the receiver, but not likely for anything compatible with the Bronco.
My issue isn't so much the clearance in normal use - most bike racks extend far enough out that a simple straight extension would let them clear the tire (or the configuration you suggested).
My issue is I want to be able to open the trunk door with the rack installed. The spare tire is the low...
Added Havoc Offroad hitch receiver and (temporarily) killed the departure angle with a 4" extend/drop adapter, so that bike rack (yet to be acquired) will clear the spare tire.
Thank you, this is exactly the kind of thing I'm thinking of. I think I can handle the getting in part, since I already just swing my right foot in and slide my butt sideways into the seat (which is a BLISSFUL improvement over the controlled fall I had to do with my old Civic). It's the getting...
All points in line with why I am considering these. Personally, I lean towards AR even though they are more $$$ because being aluminum just about eliminates any corrosion concerns (and I live in Canada so anything I do will be disproportionately expensive due to shipping+duty anyway).
Excellent point re: roof access. I will benefit from that, as I have a roof rack on the way. I doubt I'll ever benefit from them for in/out access, but I feel bad making others do the leap of faith.
To those with full-length steps (like the AR Magnum Stirrup or the IAG EZ Step), have you found any downsides in regular use?
I have a 2 door BD with OEM rock rails, which is why I'm looking at these options specifically. Not looking at motorized folding steps, as this would delete the rails...
