They did it 2-3 years ago for the OEM who supplies IP cross car beams for the F150. Most recently last year for Borg Warner when their facility was hit by a tornado.
They'll wait til mid or end of September. A lot can happen when running machine capability. No since in being early to communicate only to then have to back track again.
Sure hope so. Along with those that were scheduled for end of September. I'd like to be able to wash and detail before winter, since I already missed my summer vacations to bring it on.
All estimates would be guesses. Assuming retail order VINs started around 60,000 and the last July 15 week VINs were around 74,000, you'll look at a percentage of those. Minus the bad batch lot.
There's a stop ship option in visibility. Many Broncos there are in transit. I noticed some of those items listed on the ones shipped. But for a 2 door, you'd see a 3dr manual seat amendment. Maybe a dealer could give more insight. The DTP/KCAP line doesn't make sense.
I had your top 3, but they were posted last week. I've seen some that are already in transit with similar adds. My deduction was it wasn't noteworthy. Maybe I'm wrong?
And the issue with that thus far is we've had down time up this point, and they haven't made any significant progress. Our builds are going to sit for some time unless there's a focus on them. .
You would think that if there are a bunch of other commodity constraints impacting production, it would be easier to pull in all the parked units and do the required mod. They're all closer to a sellable vehicle than something unscheduled....
The balancing act to maintain production efficiency...
Put the roof racks on when you have the capacity to do so and to avoid further delays when you bring the vehicle back in for whatever other mod it may need.
They also don't have inventory space to store XXX amount of additional racks as they continue with normal production.
I may not nail...
We'll be 200 pages deep soon. Part of me regrets not reserving and waiting on the F150 instead, but hindsight is what it is. I never thought this launch would go this way.
So folks who were scheduled for the week of 8/16 are being moved back.
Glass half full me wants to hope they go through ours that week and ship em. Given how this process has gone though, I'm in the boat that September is more likely.
I drove by the week of 7/5. You really don't gain much by taking a look at a pair of holding lots with rail loading and car carriers going in and out....(to ship Broncos that aren't ours). :cautious:
