  1. Oopsie... dropped and dented my door this weekend

Like I said before it does not look terrible it just looks like a vehicle in a body shop and was never designed to actually look right with the doors off. Notice how the sides on a jeep is cleanly flush with the front and back and the fender to door jam flows together. Now I am glad they made...
  2. Oopsie... dropped and dented my door this weekend

A bouldering crash pad would probably be the best. It is light, folds up and specifically designed to absorb impacts.
  3. Oopsie... dropped and dented my door this weekend

It is nice having the doors off but he is not wrong. Looks more like an afterthought from Ford with the way the exposed door jams look. Does not look really bad but does not look great either.
  4. The 6G really isn't a rockcrawler.

That would an an awesome set up but you would still want better upper control arms as well as Steering rack and rods but the springs, shocks are ok for now and so are your CVs which is great. I would want to drive it first though to see. Pretty sure the gears are straight cut and can be noisy...
  5. The 6G really isn't a rockcrawler.

Lifting it by relocating the front diff and control arms lower could help but you also run into the IFS not flexing as much and adding a high CG when it already is tippy going down ledges is not a smart way to do it.
  6. The 6G really isn't a rockcrawler.

Lol, I thought I was one of the few that noticed that. It was a solid game plan but they ran the fast sections smooth and had planned winch locations on all major obstacles. Did not even try them first but honestly was very smart way to stay together and win. With how identical all drivers...
  7. Totaled my favorite truck ever

Jeep has always had competition. FJs, FJ Cruiser H3s. There have been a number of vehicles that have tried, Remains to be seen if after the initial excitement of the Bronco wears off what will happen. The vehicles that have tried have in the end also really kept their value but sales numbers...
  8. Bronco vs Deep Water ... 3 Broncos Down (Exceeding Maximum Water Fording Depth)

General rule is water to the headlights and go in slow like people said. Sadly I am pretty sure the ones that stalled from the water are probably toast but it is just a matter of time. Almost all vehicles I have seen that have done that last a few thousand miles before the cracks in the...
  9. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep RECON EV revealed as all-electric Wrangler! Resembles a Bronco with fixed roof!

If I am seeing this right the trim looks to be a few inches lower and probably could pull it off and add a thin lip to alllow bigger tires without cutting fenders. Even the trim on the door is not actually the sealing surface. As we know IFS and IRS vehicles run into issues with geometry just...
  10. Bronco vs Deep Water ... 3 Broncos Down (Exceeding Maximum Water Fording Depth)

yeah, was thinking the same. But if water made it past the filter, into the turbo and intercooler before the cylinders I would be a bit concerned.
  11. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep RECON EV revealed as all-electric Wrangler! Resembles a Bronco with fixed roof!

Even folded in they stick out and can get caught. I know because wheeling in the winter even with my mirrors folded I cracked it on a tree.
  12. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep RECON EV revealed as all-electric Wrangler! Resembles a Bronco with fixed roof!

To me this looks like a mix between a Wrangler and a Jeep Commander with the grand Cherokee grill.
  13. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep RECON EV revealed as all-electric Wrangler! Resembles a Bronco with fixed roof!

Yeah, doors off and driving around town it definitely is better. Being that this probably is more a commuter that can do trails rather than a rig like a wrangler or Bronco I bet they did not have it on the body to stay away from looking to much like a bronco :) I really like the blacked out...
  14. ⚡️ 2024 Jeep RECON EV revealed as all-electric Wrangler! Resembles a Bronco with fixed roof!

Because it is better. You leave the mirrors on the car if you want to look cool driving down the road. You put the mirrors on the door if you want a better off road experience and keep them from getting destroyed by a tree.
  15. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

Listen to him on the video because this is what I have said from the beginning at why the jeep is a more cost effective trail rig. IfS can be great but it costs money to play. Bronco at a stock Size is great but not as easy to lift and be bullet proof. So many parts have to be replaced to do...
  16. Witnessed the infamous TIE ROD SNAP!

When you are sponsored by Ford you are always careful about what you say. First designs are always going to have issues somewhere.
  17. Bent frame from backing into a creek boulder [Updated with replacement frame info]

Yeah, had to climb under my gladiator to make sure I did not just miss the damage. You are right and it has a tubed heavy duty mount that bolts onto the frames on each side not just bolted to the crossmember. It was all good. My 2dr is bolted to the crossmember like the bronco. This is a...
  18. Bronco Raptor vs Jeep 392 Comparison Review by TFL & Ben Hardy

I think you need to sit in a jeep and crank on the handles, feel the materials then jump back in the Bronco with that statement and do the same. I have done pullups on my grab handle. dare you to try it. The seats in the bronco are more comfortable for sure. I hope they fix it in a redesign...
  19. Bent frame from backing into a creek boulder [Updated with replacement frame info]

3,340 to 4,500 lbs tow rating and put a crumple zone right at the hitch. I seriously do not think so. That would be mind boggling stupid. I can see the crumple zones in the frame picture.
  20. The Sams Club tire guy said... bigger tires will tear up my transfer case, transmission, engine, suspension, brakes

Costco will not put tires larger than what it shipped with due to their legal rules. I am sure Sams club is probably the same.
