Adding my vote for White Rim. If you get the chance, camp out on the trail and enjoy the stars and nothingness that comes with being out there.
While you're in Utah Top of the Rock was also amazing and fun trail for someone who is still new to wheeling.
I recently just did the m210 swap and received the ford performance front CV axles. They didn't come labeled "Left" or "Right" so I thought "no problem, I'll just google the part numbers." One of the parts websites had the numbers wrong and almost made me install the passenger side axle on the...
Update!!!! Completed my M210 swap and have the m190 for sale also. Now a package deal of both front and rear axle! Bolt in swap for those with an auto, non-SAS rocking a M190 and Open diff and the 3.73's.
Just wanted to add myself to the list of success. I purchased a used AWD module matching my "-FA" original one. It was as simple as saving my old As Built (because I'm paranoid of messing stuff up) unplugging and plugging in the used module from a Wildtrack and then uploading my as built. No...
I've read up on the thread where Snacktime talks about switching the AWD out for one with an Advance transfercase, and I've actually already picked up a used one to replicate his process. But being a manual trans bronco I'm worried that I will run into issues that those with an auto trans don't...
That's what I am trying to figure out. Can I use it to just do the M190 FAD delete when I swap in the m210? Change the things needed to not throw the check engine light without uploading the performance side of the tune
I'm currently looking down the barrel of doing the M210 front axle upgrade along with regearing at the same time. (Parts are sitting in the garage waiting for a warm day) I also have the Hoss 3.0 steering rack planned for a future mod somewhere in the not so distant future. After reading...
I just went through this looking for a new front axle to upgrade to a M210 with locker. I looked everywhere I could think to look online and could not find a used one cheaper than buying a new one from Ford. Ebay, FB Market Place, multiple websites that look through salvage yard listings...
That is similar to what I do, using the HVAC to pressurize the cabin then listening and feeling for air outside. I watched videos where guys used expensive smoke testers to find leaks. Cheap smokes and incense are the DIY-ers friendly alternative.
With the HVAC at full blast I can feel air rushing out of this area on both sides. Does the "noodle" or round insulation along the sides help with this issue? Or should I be looking for something else? I've already found a few other areas using a flashlight and looking for where the light shines...
Make it flush with the seats! My camping style, when it comes to packing, is using tubs to store everything. Flush with the seats makes it easy to slide the heavy/bulky tubs and coolers in and out the back of the truck. I even built a wooden spacer just for that reason. It also allows for a flat...
Started at 9 am, finished by 3 pm, so not to tedious. Worse part was finding a few sharp metal pieces with my fingers. Like all of my automotive projects, it seems like blood sacrifice is a must.
Stripped the interior and installed a Soundskins sound deadening kit + some extras in the wheel wells, doors and firewall. No scientific tests, but after three years of ownership I can say it definitely took some harshness of the road noise. Now to work on the hardtop wind noise.
RCI for me! Went with their molle panels as I Iiked how it tied the rack to the body taking a lot of stress down to the chassis. Had it off-road multiple times including a week in Moab with zero issues. No squeaks either even with a tent on it. If I had to do it over I'd go RCI without a second...
