Gas would have to hit astronomical highs to 'force us' to EVs. That isn't going to happen in the near to mid future. Legislation is more apt to remove gas vehicles or make them fall under some special carbon tax similar to 'gas guzzler'.

If all you care about is the lift, then yes and aftermarket non-OEM lift will most likely be better but you aren't getting a lift and 35s and rims and installed (assuming you aren't doing it) and aligned, for $2500.
Spot on. There isn't going to be some massive benefit with one over the other. What will matter: SAS or not, 2 or 4 doors, 2.3 or 2.7. That is about it.
